Can someone point me in the right direction to code a minecraft launcher that automatically downloads and places a "mods" folder and a "bin" folder (with minecraft.jar) and the "config" folder and places it in a folder like "McModPack" (in Application support or AppData) and launches the jar from their so it doesn't effect the stock minecraft install?
I would like to make it a public mod pack one day but right now (until I can get permission and everything) it'll just be for me and my friends (private use). I have just been sending them the jar and mods folder but I update it all the time trying to get it to work better and I want something that does it automatically for them.

You can join mc.endervortex.com if you want. It's a bending server
Use Dropbox to store your updated files but I don't recommend storing minecraft.jar in a public location so there's no way to get around it until you can build a private FTP server or code your own server which will require you to stay your computer on all the time.
