Only problem is that it is not compatible with BWG3. BWG4 is currently in development, and a lot of the people who like this kind of mod will probably also like BWG4, and it might be possible to work on the compatibility with BWG4 (depending on what the incompatibility is between this and BWG3).
But, that is basically the only problem I have with this amazing mod, it's pretty much perfect.

Pretty cool mod, I have added it in my list of mod.
I would like to report one bug, which you should already know, but I prefer to be sure :
Every items which are dropped on the snow always rebound on it. Can you make it stop rebounding ?
That bug has been causing so many issues. It's caused by the way minecraft handles block and entity interactions. The game automatically assumes that all blocks of the same type are the same size, and checks a random snow block in the map to see where the dropped item should "collide" with the snow block it is in. As items bounce some already, it continuosly checks random snow blocks, which will be random hieghts. I tried to fix this by making the snow choose the height, but that just made it bounce in place. I thought i had somewhat fixed it in the 1.4.7 version when i made items freeze when they hit snow, but i geuss not.
Does this fully work on dedicaded servers..??
and does it work with extrabiomes xl..??
and also on another note.. err.... does it cause any server side or client side lag? lol?
This looks pretty awesome. Any chance of there being some way to change the amount of snow that stacks. I'd personally like to have a brutal blizzard in a tundra biome or something.

1. I have not tried it on a dedicated server, but it would probably not work due to differences in obfuscation.
2. I have not tried that either, but if you decide to try tell me if it works!
3. No more than normal snowfall, and I plan to make a change that will make it even more efficient.

I am currently working on a setting for the snow stacking, and blizzards are definately on the list.
Alright, thanks, it appears as though with it installed on server and client the mod does not work on dedicaded....
I would love to install this on my server, so much fun, and I would assume that this mod should not cause problems with terrain generators.... I dont know though

I could look at making a server version of BetterSnow, it shouldn't be too hard. And it shouldn't mess with generators unless they edit the same files.
Finally snow has a function !
I think the slowing effect should be a little greater though, from the video it doesn't appear to slow you down that much, and a tiny lump of snow would do nothing.
I've been thinking of functions for some of the blocks that don't seem to have any and this was one of them.

I had the snow slowing set very low because I wanted to prevent 1-layer snow from slowing too much, but I am adding a setting for it
Two thing here. One a bug and the other a suggestion. First, the bug I'm sure has been mentioned is that when I try to build a stack of snow in creative, after I reach 16 layers, the block disappears, this also happens occasionally when I start building a block next to the block being built. Also, for the suggestion, could you manage to allow for placing snow overtop of half blocks? I build a lot of houses with half blocks for roof tiles, and in the snow, that'd be pretty awesome.

That bug is actually something I added in to make it seem like the snow is being "toggled" to different states, but i plan to remove it. As for the slabs, do you want it to fall on half slabs or be placeable on them?
Edit: I just fixed the bug, it will not be in the next update.
Edit2: Nvm, I made it an option.

Are the snow features working? The missing .info is because this is not technically a forge mod, it is just forge compatible.
YEAH i'm pretty mad about that. But i have some more features i can add that will keep the mod useful.

Make a snowy kingdom superflat world with cheats and try "/toggledownfall" and see if it works.

Tell me what you think!
All the snow spawns one layer thick, so it should not change seeds.

Feel free! I will add it to the OP!
Thats a good point.
When I create a new world it gets stuck on "loading world converting world"
Ok can you copy any errors reported in the log? If you do not have that enabled go to setup and there is a checkbox in the bottom left.
