I have an issue with Optifine + CJB 1.4.6 FML (and ML)
When combined, blocks will randomly go invisible when near bedrock and other strange scenarios.
Is this known issue?
I'm noticing something similar, which is also seen in other X-Ray hacks. When using Optifine + the CJB X-Ray mod, hitting the X button causes all blocks except mobs and entities to become invisible. There's no way to restore visibility other than by logging in and out again.
This is the order in which mods are installed:
1) Minecraft Forge
2) Optifine
3) CJB X-ray (only using this mod, so no need to install the Player API)
I tried installing Optifine first, then the X-Ray mod, and vice versa. No difference in behavior. This was using OptiFine 1.4.6 HD A3. For now I'm using MCPatcher's built in HD texture support as a workaround.
EDIT: So this seems to be a chunk rendering bug. Another workaround I found through experimentation — change the render distance in optifine. I'm not sure what factors play a role, but the shorter the render distance the better odds of things displaying properly. Sometimes normal render distance works, sometimes I have to set it to short...
this is how my xray looks like http://postimage.org/image/powrjro9j/ is this normal? I think that before in CJB all the ores with xray were more brighter? I have a couple of different mods installed but i put in the xray files at last so not first.
And nightvision option doesnt do anything
that mean you did not open night vision before xray.
Problem while crafting.
With the method gives automatic crafting problems. When I get back in the game I do not get the tool created but only the materials.
it's just my problem? :S

i will try later.
did you have video or picture to describe this problem.
HI again i was wondering if you can tell me how to get the 1.4.4 version because you told me to but where is it?
also what do i install first cjb or optifine?
actually the 1.4.5 could use in the 1.4.4.
it has no conflict.
- The chunk visibility issue, as said before, affects all X-Ray mods, not just CJB. This is a fairly recent issue that started with Optifine 1.4.5 HD U D3 and higher. If I remember correctly, in the Optifine thread, the dev mentioned a modification to the way chunks are handled within the change log.
- Based on some work being done on other X-Ray hacks, I think one solution is to compile a class that's specifically made to be compatible with Optifine so when this mod overwrites that class, there's no rendering issue. I know basically nothing about Java or the complexity of the problem, so this might not be the only or best solution.
I can also write to the Optifine dev asking for some advice, but I'm not sure he'd necessarily endorse an X-ray hack or care.
i have test the 1.4.6 and leave the optifine alone.
and actually.
changing the view distance will alsa cause this kind of problem
i think it need to report to the optifine.
it seems it cause by the new way of chunk loading
by the way, i am using the A2 i will try the newer version later.

Did you install player API? you said Forge/this and no other mods, you need player API'
Makes no difference.
It was ok in 1.4.5 and original CBJ with the same optifine config, though.
The original Optifine release that came out for 1.4.5 didn't have this problem though. We already know the new one causes problems. So I don't understand what's confusing.
according to the others and my test for now.
the invisible chunk only cause in ultra version.
the standard version seems have no this problem.
and i am still testing.
It would be extremely useful as, when I need to give someone a location, I usually have to use the debug menu which will stay displayed with the chat open.
Thank you!

Fire And Ice
Some say the world will end in fire

To say that for destruction ice

bspkrs's ArmorStatusHUD, DirectionHUD, and StatusEffectHUD have this option, so it should be something that could be done, right?
