What started as a custom mod for my server to handle the metal demands and variations of different mods, Extra World Generation was made to allow for most types of non-vanilla world gen to be consolidated into one fully configurable mod. All ores in this mod are able to have rarity, size, and y axis locations individually set in the config files. All ores are registered in the Forge Ore dictionary, allowing use with other mods that use it.
There have been some requests for tools, as well as armor using the materials located in this mod. I will be releasing an additional mod, non-dependent on this mod that gives the option of turning on armors and or tools for various metals or gems. I am currently in the process of moving as we speak, so I should start work on this early July and have something for all of you shortly there after. Also looking in the next version of this mod, which has unfortunately been delayed a bit, to release more customization inclusive of vanilla gen items, and any mod items for mods you have installed. Currently working on config setup for that, so if there are any requests for how it should be laid out, now is the perfect time to say so!

Great job! I always wanted something like this.
Are you going to add more ores, ingots, blocks and bricks from other mods?
that's the intention. lead is actually next on my list, as well as potentially adding ore directly from other mods rather then creating the item again.
as for titanium, platinum, cobalt and jade. the first is gregtech as for the rest, i'd have to consult my notes. oh, and jade is for old emeralds replacement since there are vanilla emeralds. This will probably have to be redefined in the ore dictionary to match current mods going different routes.

I believe it was one of those. not sure to be honest, i don't use gregtech, and am only basing the metal listings off some notes I have.
Fortunately, setting a rarity of 0 should prevent the ore from spawning, if your world doesn't use it.
With that said, finished the textures of Lead, will be uploading as soon as I recompile.

Often when I load up and play, the textures for the items this mod adds don't show up, as a result they are all plain white blocks. For awhile, I would simply restart minecraft and it would fix the problem, but lately nothing seems to be fixing the missing textures problem. My guess is that the textures aren't loading for some reason, but I don't know why. Any ideas?
EDIT:
Not sure if it makes the difference, but I'm also running IC2, metallurgy 2, divineRPG, and MysticRPG all of which add ores and such blocks.
The point of this mod is to use these ores instead of the ores that overlap in multiple mods. I can however if there is a demand, add tools, and set a config whether or not they are enabled, to prevent conflict.

I'll look at the code, most likely its not loading at initialization though. Which version are you running?
Regardless of what mods your running though, wouldn't cause this issue.
How I install this mod? I did put into mod folder but didnt work
make sure your running the appropriate version of forge for the version you downloaded. With more information about what you are running I can offer more help.
Make us able to craft tools and armor and weapons out of these ores , That way they became more usefull

make sure the ores are enabled in the config, and that you are searching newly generated chunks for the ores.
Edit: Just downloaded the mod and set up without any other mods on 1.5.1 and digging strait down came across 8 copper 2 silver and 1 jade. What is your setup?

given the number of different mods that provide these ores in duplicates, its impossible to have one setting that works for any combination, so the rarity is configurable, with a good spread as the default configuration IMO. My opinion may not reflect the opinions of those who use the mod however, and thus, config files are provided to change the size and rarity of the ores that spawn from this mod.

This mod should be a need at all mods, serious!
I once had 4 different Copper ingots!
I know the feeling all to well. every mod loves to use the same metals, but they all have their own world gen.
That would be great! Textures are deff not my strong suit, post it hear and ill link it in the OP!

Updated to 1.0.3, which should fix that issue.

My only question is,
Does the rarity of the ores match the rarity from other well known mods that add these ores?
