i have crash always when wear off Air Tank from Buoyancy Control Device.

and one more error from FML:

Thanks for letting me know about those problems. I believe I've solved them, but I'm going to do a bit more testing before I release the fix. I'll probably release it tomorrow (4/07).

I'm glad you like it! You're free to share it with whomever you want, and even redistribute the mod, so long as you provide credit where credit is due and follow the Minecraft EULA (which just means don't sell downloads). If you do plan on sharing it, I do recommend you wait until I release a fix for the problems mentioned above.
make us control which components to add from Chemical Extractor(Rockhounding mod)
it is aquarim mathematic model.
hydrodinamics very interesting.
engines working from water and effeciency depends on water drop height
maybe rail transport depends from water pressure?
or water lift? tunnel with 1 block value , water column in it.
and capsule where player can seat , push the button and capsule will go up or down.
its like mini submarine walking up or down inside water column .
it can help to walk in mines tunnels , transport resources withtin capsules.
Thanks for the suggestions! There's already an air compressor for air tanks, so was there another use you wanted? I have actually considered adding an aquarium. I just need to figure out how I want the mechanics to work. If I add fish breeding, I will probably limit that to within aquariums. I looked into the Rockhounding mod you mentioned, but I sadly cannot add any way of interacting with that mod right now, because it doesn't have an API and the source code isn't provided.
I would love to create a useful form of hydrodynamics, but I'm not sure how well it would fit with this mod. I may add it as an optional extension, because while I and many others may enjoy it, I've already received complaints about the mod becoming too involved in tech for their liking.

Hmm. Greek fire certainly looks terrifying, and has some fearsome properties, but for all that it doesn't actually do much damage. It spreads on water like gangbusters, but doesn't really catch on actual flammable objects. I tested it in a Mystcraft age with giant trees growing out of water, and three grenades damaged one of the trees less than a single normal fire damaged another. As it is, fire charges are a more efficient means of attack than Greek fire grenades, even though the grenades are harder to make.

Alright, thanks for the input. I didn't want the grenades to be too powerful for how relatively cheap the raw materials are (wood, limestone and gunpowder, essentially). I'll up the power a bit, which won't be hard at all.
I reworked the client-server packet system, so there shouldn't be errors with the bcd. I've also been trying to rebalance the swim gear, removing the apparent drift when swimming and releasing the movement keys. The flippers will be much more useful.

I dunno.. I threw a Greek fire at a normal tree and it burnt it down.
Maybe make a config to adjust the power? Also, how long does it burn on water? It seemed like it burned forever.
Hello, I had a crash recently that was related to the sponges and possibly an unwanted interaction with some changes Cofh makes to water. It seems like the sponges get caught in a neighbor update loop which ends in a stack overflow crash.
Hello, I had a crash recently that was related to the sponges and possibly an unwanted interaction with some changes Cofh makes to water. It seems like the sponges get caught in a neighbor update loop which ends in a stack overflow crash.
Edit: I know I'm giving it a reasonable amount of memory too, 4.5 GB
The problem appears to be caused by and infinite update loop: AlgaeCraft updates the Cofh water, which updates other Cofh water, which eventually makes its way back to the AlgaeCraft sponge. (Cofh does override vanilla water.) If Cofh continues to override water in the same way in 1.8, they will likely run into the same problem with vanilla sponges in that version, since that's where most of AlgaeCraft sponge comes from. There's nothing much I can do on my end. I could put a toggle in the config to turn off sponge neighbor updates or causing water updates, but the first would prevent the sponge from reacting to water that flows into it, and the second could cause floating water problems. A while ago, I considered overriding water, but I decided against it for the very reason that it might conflict with other mods. Thanks for the report; I'll keep my eye out for anything I could do to fix the problem without side-effects.

I'm glad you like it. I added Greek fire for anyone with even a hint of a destructive personality. I can definitely add a config to adjust its power. Greek fire is designed to spread quickly and last long on water. I wanted it to do some damage on land, but not too much. I've upped the default power of the Greek fire grenades (not yet released). I should tell you that Greek fire can currently be sustained on netherrack, but won't spread very far once it dies down a bit after the first placement.
Can you add a config option to disable lobster spawning? Now that I have them, I find that my base totally can't handle them, especially with their habit of clipping into the ground and becoming unhittable.

Sure! Even better, I can make the spawning "weights" for lobsters and fish both configurable.
Updated. Finally. I also converted the structure system to use an external file system in the assets folder to make it easier for me to define new structures. That said, resource packs and mod packs might be able to alter AlgaeCraft structures, like the kiln, to use a different shape or set of blocks.
1.5.8 Forge - NOTICE for Servers: Upon updating to this or a later version, all players MUST use at least this version.
- Fixed Seaweed not growing
- Fixed Algae breaking in swamp biomes
- Fixed crashes with BCD and Air tank
- Made Greek Fire bombs more powerful
- Added config for Fish and Lobster spawning weights
- Added config to toggle Sponges detecting neighboring block changes (not recommended to turn off)
- Improved packets (client-server)
- Improved swim gear to allow for smoother swimming control
- Fish now avoid the topmost water block.
Life update: I finished my first year of college and got a summer job at an engineering Summer camp! I'll mainly be able to work on AlgaeCraft during weekends through July, but I'll have more time, since there's no studying.

*sigh* That's what I get for referencing the wrong integer for a biome while counting through a list of biome IDs. Try this:

This is a fun mod, I like it ! And I would like to share it with MCBBS (this is a Chinese Forum on Minecraft), and then let more people know about it and like it. I hope you can agree

maybe the path is to let us do aquarium ?
make air compressors
make temperature
make special plant to allow fishes to breed
make some food for fished to let them grow
make us control which components to add from Chemical Extractor(Rockhounding mod)
it is aquarim mathematic model.
hydrodinamics very interesting.
engines working from water and effeciency depends on water drop height
maybe rail transport depends from water pressure?
or water lift? tunnel with 1 block value , water column in it.
and capsule where player can seat , push the button and capsule will go up or down.
its like mini submarine walking up or down inside water column .
it can help to walk in mines tunnels , transport resources withtin capsules.
OK, I'll wait until you fix the problem.

Awwwww... For me? You didn't have to add a special feature just for me.
Beautiful green, fiery, burning death just like lil me. You really know how to flatter a goblin gal. =)
(I'm aware it's probably not for me specifically, but I'mma be narcicistic and pretend.)
Crash Report: http://pastebin.com/6m5vpmfH
Reported to work AlgaeCraft 1.5.7.1
1 - algae of initial placement is itemidrop at the timing of the growth
2 - DeepSea biome of seaweed does not grow
Can you add a config option to disable lobster spawning? Now that I have them, I find that my base totally can't handle them, especially with their habit of clipping into the ground and becoming unhittable.
Thanks for letting me know. I'll fix both of those for the next version.
Sure! Even better, I can make the spawning "weights" for lobsters and fish both configurable.
Thanks. I've been wanting to disable the fish for a while. They kind of float above the water.
Updated.
