Just some quick thoughts regarding the soul shards mod.
Will you be looking at making any changes regarding the creation of the shards? I personally think the way it was before was much better than the new multiblock.
Also would like to see a way to quickly identify the different shards, perhaps a change of colour related to the mob, white hue for skeletons, black for spiders etc. Obviously limiting this to vanilla mobs most likely.
Someone [lots of someones] always hate the changes before the audience generally warms up to my changes and embraces them as improvement. Whether or not they actually ARE improvements is purely subjective/heresay/subject of rational debate, but hey.
This happens everywhere, its basically a 'conservative' mindset in the political realm, humans all somewhat fear change because what is known is safe, what is unknown could be dangerous.
Just look at facebook, every change they made had people up in arms signing petitions (wtf?) and demanding things be put back, then a few months later if facebook changed something BACK, they STILL had a fit.
Btw, love love LOVE this mod, hope to see it expand in the future and finding out you are going to take over soul shards is good news. (not that the old designer was bad, just good to know that it is still in good hands.)
EDIT: Also ... a plea not to remove the gun. Guns might not seem to go well with magic but this mod gives a feel like you are living in Stephen King's Dark Tower books... not every magical mod has to feel like the Lord of the Rings.

As to maintaining soul shards, not a single post to address any of it 1.5 bugs. I would almost think that soul shards was intentionally .. nerfed is to gentle a word, sabotaged more like it, before he dropped it. As it is so bugged right now that it is not even usable unless an admin is around to constantly op back in the constantly disappearing soul shards.

That's weird. We're running a couple of soulshard spawners to produce string and bones which we need for fertilizer to keep our farms and bio-fuel production going. It's been working flawlessly for weeks now.
We've been running various versions of the HappyDiggers AMP mod pack so I'm guessing something other then soulshards is causing the problem you describe.

They vanish randomly when breaking the soul cage, not when in use, this is a bug that has been a round for a while.

Hey Xeno, I was wondering, since you picked this up from ShadwDrgn Are you also grabbing his recipe remover mod? I have been searching for a 1.5.2 version of his, but it stops at 1.4.7
If not, that is okay. But I know lots of people have been looking for the 1.5.2 version to be brought up to date.

Is the Destruction Catalyst recipe supposed to consume the Touchstone of Midas or return it? The description in Xeno's first post says "This flint, once transformed by the touchstone of Midas", which kind of implies that the Touchstone isn't consumed, and the first time I tried crafting it, I ended up with two Touchstones (one was just a ghost item), but every time I've tried since then it's just consumed the Touchstone. 1.0.6d, I've tried putting the items in the crafting grid in various orders and clicking versus shift-clicking the output.

You could always get it by downloading FTB Ultimate. Might not be the answer you're looking for, but meh.
