It should just still be reversed. I'm not sure why so much vanilla stone generates with the new option. I might look at reducing the number of vanilla stone biomes but that would affect the biome generation of all world I would expect.
I can aim to have a fix out by the start of the weekend. It's pretty simple on its own by I want to try and get a bit more into a release to make it worth it for people to update!
Actually, i figured out it isnt just reversed, i set it to true, and stone biomes still spawn, but i dont think as frequent, maybe it doesnt turn it off, but turning it on adds more?
I'm working on fixes for these issues and I'm getting quite confused about what's causing them. It seems certain chunks are not saving the changes to blocks that I make. These seem to occur in bunches. I am almost certain that the code is being run correctly but it seems like sometimes it just doesn't actually do what it is supposed to. If anyone has any ideas I am running out of things to check! I am wondering if there was a Forge change or something in regards to chunk loading seeing as this problem only started with the release of 1.5
i have a 2 questions one are the stones correctly in the oredictionary? (for redpower2 basalt and marble)
is there a way to remove certain ones (basalt and marble)
could i make it generate redpower2 basalt and marble instead of this mods basalt and marble
oh one more suggestion you should edit vanilla cobblestone to be called "mixed cobblestone" and "mixed cobblestone stairs/slab" etc. i edited my lang folder to do this it really made the game feel better XD
I have a question: what's the blast resistance of your rocks? ICBM mining explosions seem to not break them and that's a bit wrong...
I corrected them not long ago seeing as they weren't set at all but I can't recall of the top of my head. They are definitely working correctly with vanilla explosions though.
I liked the mod, so I have done a review on it, is in Spanish but still will serve many people, if you could put it at the top for all the people seeing him would be great.

It might be possible to add config settings for each block's ore dictionary entry but it would make the config file quite large. Interesting idea for renaming the vanilla stone types! I hadn't thought of that!
I'm looking for someone who is interesting in taking over the development and maintenance of Underground Biomes. I am finding that I just don't have enough time to manage this anymore and as a result I don't think I can deliver the fixes and features that are required.
I don't want to just leave this with no support of future but I can't continue to provide that. If anyone is interested in taking over please let me know here or via PM. I won't be disappearing so I can help with any questions or issues that come up while a new person is getting to grips with the code. It's fairly simple so it shouldn't be too hard to learn.

So, that should be fixed for now? We don't have the latest version on our server. And yeah, vanilla explosives work good.
I'm a fan of your mod, I have enthusiasm, and I keep learning Java and Minecraft modding.
I don't yet understand fully how this mod's worldgen part works, but I'm willing to figure it out and it's just a matter of some time.
Strong common sense, critical approach, and my girlfriend who is a geologist will surely help me in this.

That would be great! I can help you with any issues you have getting your head around it. The code is a bit messy in places as I was always meaning to fix it up but I could never find the time. Thank you so much for this! I will PM you so we can talk about what needs to be done
- Killed Thumbs.db
- Fixed lignite drop incorrect metadata leading to inability to craft it to coal
- Fixed lignite not working with fortune enchantment
- Fixed slabs giving wrong block when harvested with fortune enchantment
- Resolved missing textures warning
- Optimized texture files
- Should work on Minecraft 1.5, 1.5.1, 1.5.2
Version for 1.4.7 is coming later.
Let me know if something got broken in comparison with an older version.
Meanwhile I'll be getting familiar with Underground Biomes code, cleaning it up and looking into other bugs.

Would this fix the bug where 1. the config was backwards to generate normal stone biomes and 2.Stonebiomes spawning anyway\
Also, maybe you should start a new thread to allow yourself to edit the OP
Dare2win, thanks, I fixed metamorphic stone not dropping cobblestone for the next version.
Regarding vanilla stone generating despite config file saying not to, it's an issue with worldgen, I'm afraid it's messy and buggy at the moment. I'll try to fix it soon!
I'll start a new thread when I release a new version in case Jeff doesn't get permissions for me for this one till then.

I understand that, but is the config still reversed? It seems that stone generates less if it is the correct (was "true" in the last couple of versions) "false"
I've been following this thread but not responding.
I am torn: Should I wait for ExtraBiomesXL to finish its version4 in order to install it if it's gonna have all of this, or should I just install the current version of this? I'm running 1.5.1 and I don't think I'll be moving up to 1.5.2 since I'm running 50 Mods and not all have moved on to 1.5.2.
However....
I would like Vanilla stone mixed in with the UB stone. I don't want biomes that just have vanilla stone, but rather I want every biome to have some kind of distrubution that maintains vanilla stone. It seems there's some kind of unclear thing as to how vanilla stone (and cobble?) works in the current version.
If ExtraBiomesXL V4 is not backwards-compatible with 1.5.1 then it seems that getting the current UndergroundBiomes is what I should do. But I don't want to lose vanilla stone functionality and based on the responses there's something weird going on with it. I don't want to venture afar just to get regular common stone, which should be... well... common (?).
Anyway, can you guys clarify how vanilla stone/cobble works right now (seems there are still some bugs with regards to it) so I can go ahead and download/install this?

EBXL v4 will not be backwards compatible. It is using a new terrain generator so once it's updated it will not be compatible with previous versions of our mod.

I'm actually going to try and find someone else to take over development and maintenance of this which I will detail in a post below

Edited the first post, thanks to the forum moderator for transferring the permission to me!
