A: What is GenOreDictionary?
Q: GenOreDictionary is a simple mod which makes sure you have only one type of the same ore in your world. For example, lets say you got red-power and IC2 installed on your minecraft. Both have thier own unique copper block, the mod will make sure the both are the same - same texture, id and so on.
A: Sounds nice, I think... can you explain it again?
Q: No! Just watch this video:
A: How do I install this mod?
Q: If you using the FTP launcher add the mod into the "JAR Mods" list.
Otherwise go to the installation section.
So, say I was a modder whose mod adds copper and tin (and these two are registered into the Ore Dictionary), do I need to do anything to get this effect to work, or does GenOreDictionary do it automatically?

It's trying to this automatically, if your ore is named correctly it will work (ore[YourOreName]). if not you need to register your ore:
If you're still looking for that Forge hook, assuming this API is still alive and kicking and I can remember my password to the Forge forums, I'm more than willing to make the hook request in your stead.
Just let me know what to bring up in the post on the Forge forums via PM and I'll handle it in short order.

Curse PremiumIt's trying to this automatically, if your ore is named correctly it will work (ore[YourOreName]). if not you need to register your ore:
GenOreDictionary.registerOre("oreGroup", oreBlock);oreGroup = the name of the ore (tin / copper...)
right now you cant register your ores since I dont have the forge hook.
