I'm thinking about making it a map..... well, once i make the actual village bigger and not the underground part. i didn't use imgur at first because it kept giving me the Corrupt file stuff.
@Topic: Love the update, especially the "can apply leads to adult villagers" part. Emeralds are good for short distances, but if you want to migrate, leads are the way to do it.
Definitely. Or just to keep the guys safe somewhere.
Entire village was destroyed after a crash, i just want to quit minecraft now.
Edit:my minecraft file was corrupt somehow and wouldn't let me start a new world so i deleted the .minecraft file and downloaded it again. it worked, but for some reason i can't download mods.....may be the end for me under this post.

Have you reinstalled Forge? And what do you mean by "can't download mods" - they don't work, or you literally can't download them? If the latter, may be time to virus scan your computer.

[Scott]: Things I have managed to get in the last five minutes, in order of ascending importance: cobblestone, planks, lapis lazuli, redstone, gold, coal, diamond. VERY LOST.
Quick question: do the villagers in your mods recognize other mods' doors? Vanilla villagers don't seem to recognize Natura doors as valid, for instance.

No, my mod only recognizes vanilla wood doors. At a glance, I think it would be quite difficult to get it to recognize doors from other mods, but I am interested in giving it a shot...

That's very sad. I hope it wasn't my mod that crashed and destroyed it.

I'd appreciate it if you gave it a shot, at least. *rattles pom-pons*

I just found this Mod and am really happy, I've been looking for some time for a Mod that makes Villiagers smarter so this seems to work. I'm testing it in my 1.5.2 game for now to see how I like it.

If I recall correctly, I heard somewhere that villagers are hardcoded to recognize vanilla wooden doors only, but I suppose it could be attempted.

Also, I've flipped shovel textures for Tinker's Construct and ExtraTiC for a more realistic-looking animation, check here: http://www.minecraft...hovel-textures/
ok, after a while's worth, i fixed the problem. i had to read the crash report over and over and it was NOT this mod that crashed it, it just had a conflict with another mod i installed. i'm still not sure why it won't let me download mods, deleting some old ones right now.

i mean it has a blank ERROR message on the screen when i put the mods where they need to go, no details, just, error. my computer is mid-2012 so it shouldn't be doing that. it usually gives me a full detailed report.

If you turn on the launcher visibility in your profile does that spit anything useful back to the Development Console? Also, there is always a ForgeModLoader-client-0.log in the Game Directory.
By any chance is this mod compatible with Minecraft Comes Alive?
It is compatible (as in, it won't break anything), but you won't see my villager AI applied to the MCA villagers (no climbing ladders, door selection, etc).
I belevied I fixed it....mods will install and my minecraft is running smooth. I tested everything to be safe, I tried deleting profiles from the launcher after clearing downloaded mods, I think I did something else too...deleted other minecraft programs I think? Either way it worked and minecraft is taking my mods and running a Lot faster then usual.
So back with a few ideas you may want to consider.
- Having iron golems NOT kill snow golems once a snow golem accidentally hits one. Trying to defend a village via snow golems and iron golems is interesting, but requires a lot of remaking of snow golems atm Not to mention, while an iron golem is trying to climb up to a snow golem, it completely forgets about the zombies walking by lol.
- Having a 'challenge mode' esque type deal. A config file option that makes creeper/skeleton/whatever target golems and villagers. It'll make defending the place tougher. I'm only so-so for this idea, I think i've liked my other ideas more. I still do think this would be an interesting challenge.
Is there some way you could make wolves stick with villagers? possibly if there is an untamed one near and you click the villager with a bone? iron golems aren't always there for my village..(trying to keep this post alive, kinda quiet :P)
I'd love to see this if you post it up on imgur or so!

Is this mod compatible with Village up? http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1645510-162-village-up-better-npcs-villages/
In a nutshell, village up adds more village structure and increased the spawn rate of them. I have nearly 0 experience in coding, but I don't think It should effect village behavior.
