Okay, so one problem I've noticed: Mojang changed something in 1.6.4 so that every time you start up Minecraft, the contents of the assets directory are reset. Every time I place those files in there, everything but the config file gets deleted. DX
EDIT 2: Really, why the f*#@ does Mojang insist on making modding so damn difficult? The sound fix won't work in 1.6.4 because of this (from the readme in the assets folder):

EDIT 3: Aha! I found a temp fix! I just changed the folder permissions so that my usergroup can't delete the the folders. Take that Dinnerbone!
Once I got this problem, but I don't know why it stop delete the folder by itself :3
About the incompatibility of maids with M&B is refered to they use players code un some way I guess. For example, a thaumcraft 4 wand, a zombie can pico it up and nothing happens; a. maid pick ir and crash minecraft and she must be deleted with MCedit to get the mal working. Is from here where I get this theory.
Besides, Svetek, how do you did it? Are models for 1.6.4? Or for 1.6.4 forge version were made?

I'm gonna be honest, I think incompatibility issues are more on M&B's end than the other mods, despite what the dev may say his mod sure does have a lot of issues with a lot of mods that otherwise behave fine.
If not then it would be a cool add on, think the ability to copy books and catch fish are the 2 things the maids need. With all the new fishing stuff in 1.7 the maids really need to be able to go fishing

Perhaps you were remembering that from one of my posts? I seem to recall being sparked by the idea in another suggestion thread for alternatives or more ideas for paper or books. It could be just my imagination though.
*sigh* I've been away from the forums for some time, and even longer since I've looked at my modding code. It'll take a while for me to get back into the swing of things. Maybe I just need to get cheered up to work at it again.

well one of the ingredients in making a maid is slime and they do drop slime when killed so does that mean maids are actually a slime that can take shape of a maid?
Oh and in my new world i'm living in a village and there has been an Enderman in one of the houses for a very long time, would say he was in that house for like 8 in game days or so while i worked around the village. So i named him and he's still in the house, idk how many days it's been since i named him, will say alot, but he's still there in that house.
i know that had nothing to due with maids but thought it was neat that you could have your own pet enderman.

Another day was messing around with maids to test if they were compatible with another mod, and discovered can brew! Also is an intelligent control, first Nether wart then compounds and at last modifiers. Also tested about maids writters, but she only escorted me as she was "escort" mode.

i think that's an add on to the maids? The brewing is ok, was probably really handy before hoppers, now with 2 hoppers i can make an auto brewer that puts the potions into a chest. The maids will brew and brew in the right order but some times if they have another item in their inventory they may mess up.

I can still see and edit the code if setting up a mod as if it were a default Java classlib project; only with trying to use a Gradle-based project. Also, as a Java classlib project, I can compile against the old decompilation sources (Minecraft 1.6.2-era), but have issues about the reobfuscation ... so distributing my built mods is somewhat of an issue.
I'm happy using NetBeans IDE, not really wanting to ever touch Eclipse; just, ... confused about how to setup Eclipse-based dependencies into a NetBeans IDE-based, ForgeGradle-based, Minecraft mod.

Anyone know off the top of their head if theres a gun mod that works for smp? I tried StandardGuns and FN, but Standard just crashes the server and FN forces an ID mismatch that refuses to be fixed. I hate having my little girls using bows,they don't deal enough damage for me, and i've fallen in love with StandardGuns' handgun because of how simple it is and how easily the little girls can use it. I tried using GunCus on one, but they don't register as a valid weapon for them.
oh i never knew they could brew , i thought it was an extra thing from one of the add ons i have. So is changing a maids job with a book and quill a base maid thing as well?

chocolate quest has a hand gun in that, it works great for maids and it's really simple, that is the only gun i have in my mod pack, i havent messed with any gun mods but have been thinking about trying some with maids

I installed that particular mod because it both lagged my server and cause extreme balance issues. Also, its revolver is just way too slow, the bow is faster than it. Thanks for trying though.
