Can you add subways? I really want to make a subway station for a video and it would be cool to have one with lights and special blocks! (like a 1x2 track and slow turning track)

that's odd, the download links on both the first post and on the wiki both download a pure .jar file, not a .zip archive. maybe try downloading again from a different locaton and see what you get.

Hi, lately I've installed this mod for 1.4.6, as well as for 1.4.5 and 1.3.2 but no matter what version of the mod I install the trains, or wagons seem to have a bugged collision box and thus I, or anything that moves in the game(including the vehicles in the mod), can walk right through them and they won't budge. Because of this, I cannot turn the trains around by bumping into them or properly arrange the trains and wagons so I can link em together. I've tried installing different versions of forge, and different versions of the mod but I still cannot resolve the issue. Some help on this would be greatly appreciated!
I cheated and decompiled the AssemblyTableRecipes.class and RecipeHandler.class files to get a peek at all the recipes. Would it be okay for me to post them here (not the code, but a printout of the spreadsheet I made)? BTW, I cannot for the life of me find the recipe for the tracks builder or the signal. Everything else is working great, though.

Pick up FTB and use the Mindcrack Pack, you won't be disappointed . I'm glad it has been added and having my fun on it.

Got this weird camera spazzing issue on it but can be ignored when slowing to a stop then starting again. Also happens when I go the other way. Probably known so I'll just leave this here and continue lurking this thread.

Oh man. I told it was something stupid! I'm not sure where the .zip file I had had come from, but it was obviously the wrong file. Looking closer I found the .jar file on the first post. Thank you!
I have two ideas for the mod. the first one is for driving the trains. I think that if you press the "S" key it will make you go backwards and if you press the "Spacebar" the train will stop just like what the "S" key does now. Also i think that if you turn your camera it shouldn't turn the locomotive. For turning around i think you should add my second idea. Add a turn table. it would be 5 blocks long/wide and have a single track in the center and in the corner it would have a little control box just for looks. You would control the turn table by right clicking the turn table and opening a menu. The menu would have 3 buttons in this order, left arrow, right arrow and at the bottom an button that says "Exit". I really think both of these would really be a nice addition to the mod. Also making the train not turn around with the camera but with a turn table should get rid of the bug making the locomotive randomly turn around and seem that the locomotive and cars are no longer attached.

my question: If I play singleplayer and place a waggon with an inventory like a hopper waggon, I can place 63 x 64 stacks of stuff in it. If I am on a server, I can only put 63 x 24 item stacks. It seems the inventory of a waggon is smaller on a server? If I shift click a stack into the train, it shows 64 items. then I leave the trains GUI and click on it again, and it only shows 24 items, however, if I take the 24 items out and they become 64 items...
That's because server is probably on hard difficulty. On hard difficulty max stacks size is supposed to be 24 in all trains. But obviously it's not working and will be fixed

Actually, that shouldn't be happening if he's using Forge. Maybe he has Modloader installed as well...but that might cause another type of crash.
To give you an example of how you get "out of indicies" errors:
With Modloader, there's a possibility that a mod will use up all terrain/block/sprite IDs and Minecraft will crash because it ran "out of indicies".
With Forge, those same ID Levels are set at a much greater amount.
Currently, with Forge, I'm running 125 Mods...and I still haven't ran "out of indicies".

I had 10 or so less mods than this when I had tried Traincraft, I moved Traincraft to the bottom of my excel file and added around 10 or so more mods successfully afterwards without the entity crash. Also, someone pointed out that on ModLoader if you run out of sprite entities the word SPRITE is in the error, which is not the case here....

If you get me the list of mods I can tell you for sure, but you ran out of Entity IDs. Not block or items, but entities.
Since Traincraft adds a lot of them, it's safe to say you also have some other mods installed that do the same, e.g. Mo' creatures, or something similar.
I would suggest going the tedious route and installing the mods one at a time (or in bunches of 3) to see what causes it. I would also suggest using ID Resolver as it has in indicator in the upper right corner to tell you how many indices you have.

I did edit my above post with my full mod list in a spoiler tag. With ID Resolver I currently have 3507 Block ID left, 30421 Item ID left, 58 item sprite ID left, and 19 Terrain Sprite ID left. Guessing those last 2 are the problem, now to weed out some mods that the wife and daughter won't miss so I can get my Traincraft back....
To note, I have not used ID Resolver to automatically assign any ID for me or anything of that nature, only to alert me to conflicts then I go in manually in the configs and change things myself due to the horrible experiences friends have had using the ID Resolver features. I followed the advice of the guy that has the 187+ mods installed and changed all configs manually, only using the Resolver to alert me of conflicts (My forge does NOT seem to auto-resolve anything for me, tested by not changing a config and got a crash saying the block IDs were in use already by another mod).
You can join the #traincraft channel on esper.net IRC and I can further help you resolve the issue, but I now see you have a lot of mods that add entities installed.

That's because server is probably on hard difficulty. On hard difficulty max stacks size is supposed to be 24 in all trains. But obviously it's not working and will be fixed
