There is a light helmet in IC2 (i think could be an addon) that you wear and the light comes on in the dark and moves with you, granted its not fluid but perhaps something similar could be done
The light helmet hardly "works. It more like lights the area if you stop and stand, since the updates are kind of slow so if you move , the light updates happen quite delayed. Imagine how that will be with the speed of a metro. The right will update after the train will be gone =p
I do believe though that Dynamic Lights is a good start to add moving liught, but thanks to Minecraft code, it would be glitchy and weird, in high speeds.

When chance the direction when i am at the and of the track and i drive back all stutter
And when i stand and do the brake in the train dont stop really. He always drive away a little bit.
Are that known bugs ? Can someone say me fixes ?
Yup, same problem as mine. Change directions and camera jumps all over the place. Same with doing stop and starts, it jumps like crazy. I'm assuming 50% of the time the train just slowly inches its way in whatever direction it was going, keeping some motion it had before it stopped. I sometimes made my train do a rolling-stop (keeping the train moving at slow speeds) so it wouldn't jump, as well as adding turns into the track at each station to "remedy" it. Worked most of the time.
I think this was updated when reading the change log? Waiting for it to update on Mindcrack FTB to test it out if it fixes what I wanted 100% but I will give my obvious respects to Mrbrutal for giving us this mod and fixing it whenever he could. I just love this mod and helped me out in so many ways so far on the map I play on heh.
I also tried out the Zeppelin itself and it is insanely buggy on SMP. Even read the warning so I stuck to the trains heh. It is a flying death-trap that enjoys bouncing all over the place while also sending those white seat boxes outside of the craft. I never did have any luck with planes in Minecraft so I don't mind.

So do I need the Railcraft mod AS WELL as the Traincraft in order to make it really functional? Is that what my problem was?

Guys, I can't get the Liquid Loaders/Unloaders from railcraft to work with Tank Carts. I've tried Tank carts linekd to Steam locomotive, or tank carts by themselves (moving around via powered rails), but every time it comes to Boarding track on top of the liquid loader it stops and nothing happens. No filling with water or anything (i was experimenting with water). Can anyone help me out? I've tried loader below track, loader 1 block above track, loader 2 blocks above the track, and still nothing.
Oh, and another question: wasn't IC2 water cells suppose to work with steam locomotives as well for water source? They aren't working for me, and only way for me to add water is using water bucket at the moment.

Second, judging from some of the content this -at some point along the line- has originated from Trainz simulator. Why not add something along the lines of PaintShed or a content creator program as a low development priority?
If not, how can a standard old bloke like me create content for the mod?

Hello, I'm new to minecraft mods and wanted to try Traincraft. I apologize if this is easy or obvious, but I'm stuck.
After many hours of searching, and trial and error, I can't get it to work.
Does Traincraft work in Minecraft 1.4.7?
Right now, If I use a crafting table to build the Train Workbench, I put in all the recipe items, and the workbench flashes in the result box and then goes away. I can't craft the workbench.
If I try to spawn the workbench in creative mode, as soon as I put it in my inventory, I get disconnected from the server with error, End of Stream
I've done a fresh install, downloaded bukkit 1.4.6-R0.3, installed minecraftforge-universal-1.4.7-6.6.0.499 into my minecraft.jar file. Put traincraft in the .minecraft/mods folder and even put it in the bukkit/plugins folder.
