Hello, I have found an issue when using Thaumcraft with Metallurgy. The Thaumium pick is mining the level 6 ores which makes it extremely over powered. (Diamond pick is only lv 4)
Have a similar issue, trying to play with my sister. She cant read anything in the thaumonomicon. She made her own wand and used it on a bookshelf herself. The same happens to me if i play on a world she hosts.
*EDIT* She cant read the basic research, she can however read discoveries she has made.
So now that this has been fixed, a new problem has arisen. My sister loses all her research each time she joins my LAN game. I dont lose any when i quit and come back and she doesnt lose anything when she plays her own world. She has been demoted to my assistant until this is resolved, as to avoid loss of resources :/

Thaumic Slimes probably won't make a reappearance and Taint by the looks of it is a no I believe. I understand it would be cool, but Taint was kind of annoying, and has been (technically) replaced by Flux. I kind of prefer Hungry Chest over Traveling Chest.
I seem to have run into a problem. I have a Wood Golem, I believe assigned to a chest, and when I drop something he will pick it up but will not put it into a chest. Is there a particular side of the chest I need to click on or what?

Yeah, the travelling chest was annoying, and the taint wasn't intimidating so much as obnoxious at times. Creepy as hell at first, but quickly lost its effect... except for the tainted chickens. I still get nightmares. Too bad about the thaumic slimes though. they were cute.
That is a problem for Metallurgy I believe not Thaumcraft3, I am not 100% sure on how powerful the Thaumium stuff is supposed to be, but it could only be taken down at the most to level 5 which still makes it very strong on Metallurgy.
Most mods are also not balanced against each other (due to how many they are) but I doubt this would change, only thing you could do is disable Thaumium items or just not use them if only single player.
How exactly would it be a problem for Metallurgy? They have no control over Thaumcraft items. As for the mining level of the pick that comes from Azanor's settings when registering the item in Forge, and from my testing on how easy Thaumium is to make probably shouldn't be any higher than diamond. As for inter mod compatibility/balance that is something I wish more mod authors in the community would come together on more, or at least communicate with each other a little more.
I wouldn't rule out some form of return of taint/thaumic slimes. was looking over my thaumonomicon and noticed a node type described in the aura section that sounds pretty sketchy be interesting to find each of the node types.
i had some ideas for the next update:a whole new research wing for necromancy stuff,a soulsand golem for use in a necromancy lab,a netherrack golem tha kills mobs and if given a sword or a place to get one he will use it to kill mobs faster,a brainy upgrade will alow you to say wich mobs you want him to kill,i dont know if azanor will consider or even read this!but i felt they where good ideas so i posted them

I'm having an issue with glass phials, being the fact that they don't seem to craft using the "single clay on a crafting table" method shown in the thaumonomicon, if there is a recipe besides that i would love to know about it.

Its not a single clay, it's 3 glass in a V shape with a clay ball on the top middle slot as well. basically a glass vial with a clay ball stopper for a lid.
Is something wrong with the drop rates of whisps? They only drop their essences very rarely. All the whisps I spawn with eggs drop 100% of the time. Is this right?

Thank you for pointing that out, i guess i need to fiddle with the contrast on my monitor, the glass was practically invisible on my screen.
This is a strange suggestion, but here goes, a flux capacitor, it collects flux, and when it is full, you have to right click on it with the wand of the thaumaturge, and it will reset the amount of flux back to 0.
Its a problem for Metallurgy considering it doesn't effect most mods except for Metallurgy, pretty sure you could also get diamonds before you got a Thaumium pick. Why is it 6 no idea, don't think this mod adds ores that are higher then diamond to collect? but making it the same level as diamond seems a bit off.
Might want to rethink that part a little bit as you only need to find one gold to be able to get a Thaumium pick. Even using vanilla height settings it's a lot easier to find gold than diamond. And if you think it's only a problem for metallurgy? Then explain what happens when the next ore gen mod comes along, or should all ore gen mods now ignore the preexisting forge system to balance themselves around what is most likely a simple mistake in another mod.
The problem is they do communicate but they can't communicate with everyone, with how many mods there are 1 mod is bound to make another mod unbalanced or useless. Even Metallurgy states that if you play with other Mods to manually change the configs, same rules apply to other mods.
Be one hell of a Mod/pack that manually configs every possible Mod installation to make everything balanced, at the moment your lucky if the most popular mods don't unbalance the others.
It doesn't have to be a mod pack, but would it be to hard for the tech/magic mod guys to talk to the ore gen mod guys before making their tools mine everything?
Also like to point out the editing the configs of mods such as IC2 and Railcraft to remove their own Steel/Bronze? tools out because they are not the same as Metallurgy, which as I stated before Metallurgy tells you to do.
I do disable the conflicting items in the configs when able to do so. You can't disable the IC2 bronze items for some buggy reason (presumably the IC2 guys are aware of the issue as it's an old one) and there is no config setting for what level the Thaumium pick mines at (I just looked). Now while I doubt I would experince the same issue as with IC2 bronze if I disabled the item what exactly am I supposed to do if it's required in later items?
Loving the mod so far, but I seem t have a problem that is now becoming well..kind of game breaking, where my house is, there seems to be no aura. I put on my goggles of revealing and they show absolutely nothing in the bottom left until I move into the neighboring desert biome. Same with my wands, no charging/indicator of anything until I move out towards the desert.
I decided I would just live with it for now, after all, TC is just an AWESOME mod (and still is) however, I just made my infernal furnace. "powered off aura in the air" I thought, "ok, my wands dont work...my goggles dont, but maybe, JUST maybe, the furnace would" I threw 39 unsmelted iron in, nothing came out. I am just a bit ed, and it is not the fault of Azanor, but does anyone know a way I can make the aura work around my home? Thanks.
quick edit: it should be noted, i also cannot see any aura nodes until I get into the desert with my goggles. thought that was interesting.

It seems that Industrial-Craft 2 (IC2) does work with this mod (since there is specific research for things that IC2 brings in.)
