sorry i was vague...when holding the thaumometer or the note theories, im only able to see half way of the held items and i am asking if there is a way to fix this in the snapshot i am currently looking all the way down

So I'm building a city based on an altered version of the nine circles of hell from dante's inferno. I just can't decide on wether I should have the different tiers ascending to the centre, so have the outermost district of the city at sea level and the innermost at an extreme height, or do it reversed, so have the centre at a deep point. Any thoughts?

Well, when I read Dante's Inferno (ages ago) I always imagined it getting deeper with each ring of Hell below the previous.
Hmm, that Extrabiomes thing looks good, but...Lemme ask - Hypothetically, what would happen if I had it, then uninstalled it? Would it leave big sodoff holes in the world?

Those parts of the world will regenerate. Beware, you may have weird things like mountains cut in half.

Well, when I read Dante's Inferno (ages ago) I always imagined it getting deeper with each ring of Hell below the previous.
Well, for the sake of the alteration, I'm changing the representation of each part of the city. Limbo being residential, violence being military, heresy being the 'mage' district, etc. I also want it to somewhat resemble atlantis, being out in the ocean. I know having it descend would be cool, but that would be a lot of mining and walling off of water too. Alternatively, building it up would be a lot of mining and building up of structures.
Hey, so my aura nodes disappeared so I tried setting my regen_key to "true" and the aura nodes to "true" but when I tried this minecraft crashed or when I tried to change the aura nodes to some random word, it would crash or freeze and go to a black screen... I backed up my safe but I still don't have aura nodes any help or suggestions? Am I doing something wrong? I would paste the code but I lost it.... sorry....
Well, not everything is done yet for the texture pack... I am currently waiting on the Texture Pack to update to 1.4.6 (I am still using the 1.4.2 version of it, so the Firework stuff is missing and the Enchanted Books still don't have a texture...) and also I haven't finished everything for mod support honestly... I mainly do support for items that look really out of place or somewhat use the default textures... o.o
But here is the Condensed Blocks textures I did. :3 I will not I have not done the textures for the mod cross-over part (such as the Pipe Blocks from BuildCraft, and the Concert blocks from Railcraft for examples)... o.o

most of the other textures arentreealy my thin so I've been spending the last while slaping your lines over vanilla blocks free form selection +copy/paste ftw but your edtone block is awsome! probably oin o use your mossy texture to defenetly switchin to your lapis aswell

Went through the entire topic and seriously did no one check that removing the grates in the infernal furnace actually "sets the blaze free" (spawns it)?
Also I would like to once again like to ask for a fix for mobs not spawning in a single dimension (checked that it's Thaumcraft).
Breaking the infernal furnace does indeed spawn a blaze. Dont make one in a flammable environ if you ever intend on taking it down.. even if its the overworld.

It certainly makes sense. If you've got the spirit of a blaze enslaved in a furnace, it's gonna be ed off if you let it out.
The Taint certainly won't return. But we might [and I really hope we do, 'cause the effects we have right now are pretty lame and tame] get some more dangerous Flux effects in the future.
That is kind of sad it was part of what made thaumcraft good.
Maybe from a greifing perspective.
Anyway, guys, I wanna ask something that anyone who knows me will think I'm a hypocrite. Does Buildcraft / Thermal Expansion still screw up worlds, because if not, I'm considering getting it to quarry a whole load of Dirt for the Runespan.

You want a cheap easy quarry method? Computer craft. You make one mining turtle drop in a stack of coal (or even better coal coke) tell it to refuel all, then do excavate 32. Put down a chest and bang!!! Lil sucker will dig a 32 by 32 hole down to bedrock...for a lot cheaper than the cost of a quarry, let alone operation costs.

You need to look down to see the whole thing, like a discovery or map.
I guess 'build limit' would have been more accurate.
Though, making one above the clouds will be hard. Aura nodes don't quite reach that far, unless they spawn in a high biome.

Bug with Optifine installed I believe and no current fix either apart from removing Optifine as far as I'm aware.
