It's called having a problem then presenting it. Not b*tching.
This has been a problem before? Than why are you complaining if people are having trouble.
Just give them a hand.
Because reading previous pages of the thread is a thing.
But at the same time, you're being unreasonable for expecting someone to always be available to help you. It's honestly nobody's job to give tech support for mods, and if nobody had told you what to do, then what? To be fair, it's not even directly the result of Azanor's code that it crashed.

I don't think they were expecting someone to always be around to help. From the looks of it, they just wanted some help with their issue, and instead got a bunch of attitude and little help from you.
Yes, the information is provided fairly clearly in the report log, but that's okay. You could have simply quoted that part of their log and referenced it, rather than accuse them of ing and being a general ass about the entire thing.
If you don't feel like helping, then don't help. I seriously doubt anyone really expects you or anyone else to stop what you're doing to help them, but there's no reason to go out of your way to make an ass of yourself when someone does ask for help, even when it's an obvious solution.

I didn't mean for it to escalate like that. I am snarky, that's just who I am. Part of the reason I don't like talking with others is because people take issue with that, and stuff like that happens.
hey azanor can you help me out. when i put thaumcraft with the lastest IC2 build together i get this error http://pastebin.com/GiQ5usHf. thanks for the help
You know, someone could just do whichever resolution azanor decides against on their own time.

What makes you think I was ever being reasonable? I'm sitting here with a pile of guns while wearing a flamethrower, and you thought that, at some point, I was being reasonable?
Hey guys. Word of warning when you update your Thaumic Bees to Magic Bees. If you have any research notes completed (Trees and Bees in this case), but not learned, they will turn into "unnamed" research notes. Holding these notes in your hand calls ResearchManager.getData. This then throws an unchecked exception and causes minecraft to close. Everytime you log back in you will call the same function and crash. You will need to delete your player.dat in order to play your world again.
Here is the crash related to this bug. Azanor, perhaps you could add in a try/catch statement and then display nothing if the function call fails.
I think I've got a bug to report, unless I'm doing something wrong, or something fundamental in TC3 has changed and I just didn't know about it.
I've crafted my first wand, and turned a bookcase into a Thaumonomicon. When I open the book, it shows a branching research tree, along with several subjects already lit up at the top left of the diagram. I can't get any further than that.
In earlier versions of TC3, clicking one of these subjects brought up new pages of information. Now, when I click the icons, nothing happens at all - it stays on the research diagram.
Am I doing something wrong, or did something change from one version of TC3 to the next? The version I've got is 3.0.5e, the latest as of this post. Someone please help me with this?
When you add the thuamcraft generation to an already-made world, will it destroy any previously built structures?
No it will not. If you have any stone in any of your builds you might run acrosss an ore from the mod replacing it. Simple enough to replace but thats it as far as any damage it might cause.
Also, Silverwood and Greatwood trees won't spawn in already generated chunks so your gonna have to do some exploring to find some.

Due to my snarky and sarcastic personality I can easily be seen as a jerk. If I've offended you in any way it was likely unintended.
If I update Thaumcraft 3.0.5a to 3.0.5e will everything from Thaumcraft 3.0.5a overwrite and delete every thing I have from Thaumcraft 3.0.5a?
Short answer, No.
Long answer, if you have any mods that rely on thaumcraft, there may be some slight errors. Most notably is when updating Thaumic Bees to its successor, Magic Bees. In that case I have only run into one bug that I reported further up this page.
Yo Azanor, I seem to be having a problem. I'm running an smp server with thaumcraft, along with IC2, BC3, forestry, and a few less significant mods. Anyways, the tin and copper transmutation recipes don't seem to be working. Once researched, they show up in the thauminomicon, but without the second page (the one with the recipe). Then, the recipes themselves don't work. They revert to iron transmutation by default. Any idea why?
So sorry if this has been answered, been looking for hours. I have forestry, buildcraft, and magic bees installed as well as thaum and I've researched both the copper and tin transmutation and the entry doesn't have the 'recipe' on the second page and I am unable to actually transmute copper. What do I need to do in order to get this to work? Thanks.
I am having the same issue. I am instead running Tinkerer's Construct, however. For both copper, and tin (the only extra metals I have) the transmutation recipes seem to be completely missing.

If anyone is running Railcraft, go into it's config and disable the invisible block...it's for the new aura. WHY they made it a block instead of an entity/tileentity is beyond me, but it's causing SERIOUS issues with everything from Vanilla pistons, to all sorts of mod items.
I don't doubt it causes issues with things in this mod either.

Maybe you should try researching some things in the Research Table?
Best start off by researching two forms of energy, heat and light.

Not a bug. You research things in the mod for a reason!

But there will be Vis, right?

yes.
