So i have elemental orbs and Thinker Construct. They both have an ore called aluminum. Can this mod change the Elemental orb aluminum to the thinker construct?
The mod outputs the ore its converting to in the console for EVERY ingot converted. I converted all of my materials to the same kind all at once. it took about half an hour for it to print out all of them. can you please at least make it an option to disable this? it's not fun digging through my server log through thousands of lines of
EDIT: I was browsing your github, and saw you made these changes just the day before I made this post. I was going to try to do a build on it, but frankly updating my dev environment is a pain and you seem to be using the new system (meaning i would have to update which isn't close to the top of my list of stuff i want to do right now). so can i just ask nicely for a build? not even an official one, just something that gets rid of all the console spam
is their a prefix for the config for world gen materials such as marble?
Marble from which mod? Project Red and Chisel marble is blockMarble and should be convertible, Underground Biomes is declared as stone and won't work. You can use the Mariculture converter to convert it to and from other kinds of stone, though.
When I have more ores than can display on one page (i know it gives 16 different conversion, but hear me out) how can I convert to something not listed? do I have to use the automatic one, and thus already have one of the ore available? in my modpack, there's a certain ore that has 45 different versions (yeah, it's quite a lot, I know) so is there any practical way to get the other versions?
I have no idea if anyone has done this before, but I made a Faithful resource pack for the mod. If anyone is interested, the link is here: https://www.mediafire.com/?ukn0gcn76zc8a9m
It seems, to me, that many of people's issues could be solved with the help of MineTweaker (http://www.minecraft...es-make-tweaks/). You can use MineTweaker to change, add, or remove recipes. However, the part most people would be needing from this (that I can tell) is the ability to add items and blocks to the oreDictionary. Simply add a line to the MineTweaker config and your good to go. Here is a link to the wiki (http://minetweaker.p...i/OreDictionary)
I have an odd thing happening, and I can't seem to figure out why. I have added "^glass.*" to the list of allowed prefixes, and have Tinker's Construct installed. For some reason, I can convert minecraft:glass into TConstruct:GlassBlock, but not the other way around. I tried having a look at the source, but I couldn't really figure out why this is. I also have Chisel installed. I tested this in 1.6.4 (and 1.7.2) without Chisel installed and still had the same result though.
I am curious if the 1.7.2 version will work for 1.7.10 or if you have plans for updating to 1.7.10. I usually don't like asking but this mod was a staple in my build and playing without it on 1.7.10 makes me miss it quite a bit.

It does work in 1.7.10, at least in my beginning game. I believe it will work more too!
Does anyone know a mod like this that works for Forge 1.7.10?
It's not hard to recompile the source from github to work on 1.7.10 with a recent Forge build. In fact, the only code change required is changing calls from:

none of my tin ores are converted to other tin ores.
I managed to get one in the target field but still they just seem to jump from one side to the other with out doing anything.

It's not hard to recompile the source from github to work on 1.7.10 with a recent Forge build. In fact, the only code change required is changing calls from:
CompressedStreamTools.decompress(bytes)
to:
CompressedStreamTools.func_152457_a(bytes, NBTSizeTracker.field_152451_a)
Since the source is released under LGPL, yes I can.
