I am in college and am far too busy to mod stuff. The old version will simply have to do. Sorry about that.
This mod aims to help get your wold into the holiday spirit. It adds a new dimension called the Kringle where it is always cold and magical. The mod also adds many Christmas-y items, decorative blocks, and holiday foods.
I have been very busy lately and with Christmas coming very soon (or possibly having passed) I just don't have the time or energy to continue putting out updates. So, until next year, Marry Christmas and have a happy New Year!
I (eekysam) am the main developer, but I work on a team with ZapCloud. Check out their stuff, it is cool.
Q. How do I install the mod?
A. There are lots of tutorials on how to install mods with minecraft forge, here is one on minecraftmods.com.
Q. How does one get to the Kringle?
A. The mod adds a snowglobe block. Rick-clicking it with a magic candy cane creates the the Kringle is inside of it. If you are lazy you can just use the /gotokringle command.
Q. How does one leave the Kringle?
A. Look straight up and hold shift (as of version 3.1.2) or use the /gotokringle command again.
Q. My snowglobe looks dull, any tips.
A. By default a snowglobe is empty, you can create various snowflakes to change the scene inside.
Q. Where is the Wiki? / How do I play?
A. The current Wiki is only for the 1st and 2nd versions. Items have ingame tool tips and I would recommend NEI for recipes.
Q. How well does the mod work in a survival setting?
A. Many items are currently unobtainable outside of Creative mode, but I am working on that.
Q. How often will updates come out, and how will I know?
A. I like thinking of this mod as an advent calender, "on the 5th day of Christmas eekysam gave to me, a snowman in a kringle" XD. Up until Christmas I will make updates as often as humanly possible under the strain of midterms (every day or two), the mod will automatically alert you to new versions when you open a world.
Q. How do I update?
A. Come back here, re-download it, delete the old jar in your /mods/ folder, and add the new one.
Q. Can I help?
A. Yes, the mod is open source on GitHub (if you are a modder) and I am always happy to hear your replies (if you are not).
Q. Minecraft is crashing.
A. Create an issue on GitHub (include the crash report). Note that before version 3.1.2.2 the mod required Java 7 or it would crash.
Q. And after Christmas?
A. The downloads will still be active, but the updates will come to a full stop.
This is looking promising. I know which mod to use to celebrate Craftmas with! Looking forward to the festive/Christmas lights! Does it work for SMP? If not, will it become available for it?
Sorry but this mod is just simply amazing. I can see this going viral and I figure I'd get a post on the first page here.

constructive criticism. A few bugs I noticed while testing the mod out.
-Ice mechanics and sounds didn't work with the new forms of ice
-The snow globe to go back into the world wasn't there.
-Not sure if there wasn't suppose to be any cave systems, but there wasn't any
-Breaking a mint plant you grown only gives seeds back
-Candy Creepers don't leave holes when exploded, just candy and you still get hurt.
-FPS and rendering was very buggy using the mod, and I have a good computer.
Overall it looks ok. I hope more is added and fixed before Christmas
I have an idea for this mod if you wont to here it here it is i thought were is the chrismass lights and tree seto sent me and i realy like it it is pritty kool

Aww, what a great idea and it looks well done! Unfortunately, with it not being Forge compatible, I won't be able to use it myself, but good luck to you with it; it really looks like it would be fun and festive
