if i install the version with forge compatible and i want to play with my friend, and he is over his house he needs this mod too?
or what does this mod exactly do? please someone help me
Basically lets you create a server easily, right in game. No one has to have this mod installed. They just have to have the same mods that include items, block, and stuff like that (if you have any).
This idea looks great! I do have a few recommendations to improve it:
-Add in the ability to add Plug-Ins like Multiplayer.
-Add the ability to fully use Command Blocks like Multiplayer
-And this last one maybe the most unrealistic, but many people would agree I'm sure, a way to port forward easier (I'm not sure exactly how, or if it's possible, but if it was and you could do it, I'm sure many people would greatly appreciate it).

Again great work, and keep it up!
All great ideas, but...
For the first one, I am afraid I am not that advanced, so I wouldn't expect anything like it soon... xD
As for the second one, it is a great idea, and I will try to bring it to the next version. Thank you for the idea.
And the third, there is already a program developed in Java that does that, but it doesn't work on every router unfortunately.
Thank you for the feedback ^^
Update: I might have to end up removing the /spawn command, or I could try to set it like this: Kill the player, saving his inventory, automatically respawn him, then return the inventory. I'll be back with more changes.
are you planning to make it so we don't have to portforward to play wit friends when they are in their houses?
I'm afraid I can not do anything when it comes to that... sorry. Each router has a firewall, and there is no way of hosting a server without port forwarding. You can try Port Mapper, but it does not work for every router. It ports forward using UPnP, but again, not every router has that feature. Good luck, I hope you get it working. You can always head to www.portforward.com if it is your last option.
V1.2 is out! Better usage of /ban|/banip|/kick, disabled kicking/banning host (again, thisisdwood1 for the idea ^^), and fixed another bug with permissions where permissions for the command /banip did not work.
How do you install the Forge version without using the installer? Do you drop the zip in your mods folder, or do you add the contents to minecraft.jar?
It is mentioned in the topic. Next time, please make sure you read everything before commenting. I'll quote it here, how ever.

How do I install it? Ah. The infamous question asked by many. Yet, it almost always has the same answer. Follow the steps:
Download the mod
Backup your minecraft.jar
Delete the META-INF folder from your minecraft.jar
Hi, I'm running a server on Feed the Beast Mindcrack servers. I was able to get the internet mode to turn on, but the problems were that we were unable to change the server slots, as in I would change them in the config files but it wouldn't take effect and changing any of the settings when it came to god, home etc, but ops could still use them. Also, when I tried to set the port, I would set it to a certain port, and the game would still randomize the port. I was hoping you would be able to help with this issue, and I haven't been able to figure out what would be the cause. I tried installing via the forge modloader pack, through feed the beast itself, and also through the standalone mod.

You have to reload the world once you choose the settings. Just exit the world and rejoin, and host the server.

Yes, I've tried that. The port still randomizes itself when I create the server, and it doesn't fix the max number of players as well or the pvp settings.

Reinstall the mod, then. You did something clearly very wrong. Just extract it into you Minecraft.jar again and check back with me
I have Forge installed and several mods working fine, however, I added CustomPortForge to my mods folder and ... nothing happened. It didn't crash or throw errors or anything, but it isn't working either. Is it likely to cause problems if I just manually install the standalone even though I am using Forge?
*edit*
This did not work. It just hangs indefinitely when I try to enter my world.

It will not cause any problems, I made it to be integrated with Forge perfectly.

It does, just drag the mod into modpack.jar and not minecraft.jar if you are using Technic.
You have to reload the world once you choose the settings. Just exit the world and rejoin, and host the server.
Forge Version, since Technic has Forge ^^
