I dont get how do you use the color? I tried making color with command blocks but it would not work, probably doesnt work anyways
Anyways. Some questions:
- How do you use the COLOR display tag in the files?
- How do you add color to command block text and bold and italic, since a lot of people has done that.
It is true, I know nothing about forge, not even which link I have to click on
*Twitch* *twitch* ....you go on minecraftforge.net and then you click on the LATEST forge button on the top in super-huge letters. And then click the latest forge numbers UNIVERSAL button. There you have it! Its mighty easy to install now and it has so many features that is important to MODDERS.
I love this mod, but could you allow usage in sp creative without cheats on? That would be really helpful for mapmakers like me, because right now, I have to open to LAN allowing cheats to use this. Also have a bug report. don't know whether this is Minecraft or the mod, but whenever I save and quit to title and reopen the world, all my custom spawners become default pig spawners. Please look into this.
Love the mod though.
You can just use the external tool NBTEdit to enable cheats in your world. Eventually, the mod will be able to edit external files, but until then, you can just use a tool like NBTEdit or NBTExplorer.
And that's weird... I can't reproduce that. That happens on a LAN server?
This is amazing! The best tool since VoxelSniper!
Only negative point is that it requres Forge. Reason:
-Before this mod can update, forge has to update, thus the update times will be delayed...

Currently you can't, as I haven't added support for the section sign (eventually you will be able to). And I believe the color tag only applies to leather armor?

It's on a LAN server. The only things I change about the spawner are the entity, the coordinates, the range, the player range, and spawn rate.
It's probably just a Minecraft bug, because the spawners work, but don't save.

Try placing a block in the same chunk as the edited spawners? Maybe that will make them save? But still, that shouldn't be happening..
To people asking about multiplayer, you can't use it unless you have a forge server.
And in case it wasn't already apparent, the reason people hate forge is because they can't install on their bukkit servers and bukkit has the widest base of plugins and has all the essentials forge lacks for running a public server. Forge is fine for singleplayer but for an smp server it's inadequate. Shame since this plugin would be incredibly useful in a live scenario online. I wish the nbt data stayed with spawners when you pick them up with middle click so I could just upload them to my inventory in smp. When placed in the server, the spawners default to pigs I believe. There may be a workaround through saving spawners as schematics and then uploading the schematics to the server and pasting them with worldedit. However this is quite cumbersome and I have yet to test it out.
I also had some issues with spawner tags persisting. I can't remember exactly what I was doing at the time but I'll try to test it out to find a repeatable bug.

And that's also what's wrong with bukkit. It's not made for mods; it's made for plugins. There is a fine difference between what you can do with Forge and what you can do with Bukkit. It's a shame that they weren't able to fix compatibility. But, if you're not on a public server, Forge is fine. Plus, it appears that in the future some of the popular bukkit plugins are going to be ported to Forge
Hello, I installed this, but all the videos show is editing entities. Is this mod currently capable of editing items in your inventory, and if so how? Such as modifying potions or placing enchants on armor.
EDIT:I found out you can put the items in a chest and edit them through the chest, but is there a better way to do it?

Let's hope so. From what I read, it seems that the bukkit devs are unwilling to cooperate with the Forge team, which is unfortunate. Perhaps Forge will eventually emerge as the dominant server platform. Until then I'm having a look at the Bukkit API to see if something could be done. Client-side mod coupled with a bukkit plugin perhaps? The mod would have the editor interface and the plugin would acquire locks for entities and write the data on save.

Just put your stuff into a chest. Pretty much the same thing.
I'm not sure if you should be able to edit yourself. You can do some crazy things...
The view is distorted... I set walk speed to .3 (it is normally .1)

Are you even able to access NBTTags on Bukkit?
Not sure, that's what I'm going to look up. If it's doable, I might whip up a plugin. I've been meaning to get into developing mods for a while and this would be a good place to start.
I think being able to edit your player would be useful. Mainly for flying speed since I always find flying too slow.

Although you could just sprint and fly, that should help a little.
This mod works really awesomely with Lan worlds or ion single player, however,a multiplayer version is definitely needed for those who would want to work on adventure maps with other players from around the world. If the multiplayer version actually gets released, i am sure that this mod will be able to do much better!

Eh, probably not then. And I don't think 1.4.5 will break anything. It should still work (I think). Try it and let me know!
Forge updates even before Minecraft does. I'll fix the Forge link though.

That is strange, when I do it, my spawners save.

The mod needs to be installed on the server as well!
Hmm...

Yeah, it probably is a LAN bug... Anyway, the 1.4.4 version should work.

don't click this link...
Make sure you are in Creative. And Cheats are enabled for that world, if they are not, open to LAN and allow cheats.
don't click this link...
Be the change you want to see in the world...
Ill try it out this afternoon
