You can edit the items/fireworks while they're in your inventory by using "/nbtedit me" or when they're in a chest by using "/nbtedit" on the chest. And no, you can't get a mob to ride another - the tag is written but not read, meaning it is useless.

Is it possible to make an item spawner? Usually, I just open an entity, copy ROOT, and add it to SpawnPotentials, removing motion, UUID, and other fields I don't need to customize. How to make same trick for items/fireworks?

Best way I know to make custome spawner is MCEdit with Seth filter.
But I think it's possible, ofcourse you will need to know a lot about spawner and it's nbt. I will check it later

Well I just found this, and I think it is a great tool..
But as I hate to have to read through almost 60 pages of replys, I have this one question..
Can I edit the default loot drop of vanilla mobs, Meaning, I want to add in items from other Mods into the vanilla loot drop, so that all Zombies, Skells, Creapers, all have a chance to drop other items. I know i can edit one zombie at a time, but If I do this it will not effect other zombies that spawn...
Atleast I have not been able to figure it out yet..

Sadly you cannot modify what they drop. However, you can modify the drop chances of armor/items that they have (and equip them with armor/items).
They will be able to join the server as long as they have Forge installed. They don't need to have NBTEdit installed, just Forge.

If you're making a spawner, all you need to put in SpawnData is the core Item structure without the slot tag.
Sadly you cannot modify what they drop. However, you can modify the drop chances of armor/items that they have (and equip them with armor/items).
AAAAAND... Instant crash that rendered world unplayable
If you mess up NBTTags, it may crash. That's always a risk.
Post your NBTEdit log, it may contain information about the failed edit. Anyways, you need to use MCEdit to delete the corrupt spawner.

Looks like it was unable to download a package required for Forge. Try updating Forge? Obviously you're connected to the internet... hmm...
