As of now, this is perfect. Copying and pasting... with the already implemented features. This is the most amazing small-add-on mod I have ever seen. Keep it up!

It's not the how it's made that matters, it's what's in it. - Golden Warrior
This could be useful. How do I add custom Lores and Names (along with colours)? I'm quite new to NBT editing even though I've read quite a few wikis about them. I currently use MCEdit to editing everything I want, quite troublesome to get out of the game and wait for it to load.
Edit: And can you make it edit the item you're holding instead of placing it down then looking at it? Because I've no idea how to edit my sword if it's like that.
Any way to get this on a craftbukkit server? Seems the effort to integrate Forge and Bukkit has been recently abandoned. Is it possible to port this to craftbukkit?
Wow, thanks man, you don't know how invaluable this is going to be to me. I have a question tho, does this mod work on itemstacks? I plan on using this as a dev tool, and being able to edit itemstack nbttags would be even nicer.

here somes mockup for string and byte[], they can be created automaticaly from element of this file :
What do you think about that ? The third is not really neccesary, I think it's just fancy, but editing a byte[], when it can be large, need to be edited in a large textarea.
Can you create a mock up of what you want it to look like?
He haven't released it yet, but it adds a memory block that could store up to 1024kb of data. that only that, if sombody want to edit the memory, he will edit a byte[] were each bit a redstone signal state.

You can put your items into a chest to edit them and watch the first video to see how to add custom Names and Lores.

Yes, it really is. One thing I would suggest is to make it accept color codes (§) when editing strings. Currently you have to leave the game still to make this. (look at the book's gui, it accepts it).

I'll look into it, but the that's not my main focus. If you want to write the books, use the regular in-game book GUI. If you want to copy them/change their title/change their author, then you should use the mod.

That was an example. Mapmakers would like to be able to create custom-named items that actually look good (currently... ugh) without leaving the game, and color codes are important. The string is actually UTF-8, and you edit box is not, which is a problem.

Oh, okay.
Correct. But, you can edit items if you put them into a chest.
thanks! going to try that, and are you planing to update to 1.4.4?

I plan on adding a custom textfield eventually. I just don't have the time for it at the moment.
From what I've seen, the popularity of ModLoader mods is slowly declining - Forge is becoming more popular. We'll see.
But... Bukkit! Craftbukkit is pretty necessary to run a public server due to its popularity and all the mods and plugins for it. This tool is invaluable to adventure map makers or small servers running forge. As I said before though the Forge/Bukkit ported builds have run out of steam, seemingly due to lack of cooperation between the devs so having a hybrid forge/bukkit server is no longer an option with the recent minecraft versions. It would be amazing if admins of bukkit servers such as myself could use your tool live to edit their nbt files.
As it stands right now, I'm editing items in singleplayer and uploading my player.dat files to the server, which is still very helpful so thank you! But editing the world and player files without having to logout and upload files would be amazing.

You're welcome!
Thank you!

Thanks!

I'm not sure, I'd have to look into it.

I get asked that a lot too, but first I have to upgrade my mustang to a pinto.
