Awesome mod sir, im really enjoying it but I got a little problem.
I host a SMP server for me and my friends to play on and I was creating custom mob spawners using the mod.
However, whenever I shut down the server and start it up again, all those custom spawners will reset back into normal pig spawners. When I check the spawners again, all those custom tags I edited before are gone.
It would be very frustrating for me to edit the spawners every time i start up the server. Is there a way to fix this problem? Thank you!

I can't reproduce in SinglePlayer- I'll have to test on a local server. Anyway, it sounds like the server isn't saving when shutting down, so just be sure to force a save? NBTEdit does not force minecraft to save after editing.
When I load a saved 'ROOT' into a command block, it works fine. But then when I save and quit to title, then go back into the world, it hasn't saved. Please help, I really need this to work because I will be using command blocks heaps with what I am currently working on. Thanks in advance
Hi,
I'm trying to in install Forge and your Ingame NBT-Edit. I'm running on a 10.6.8 mac. (It works with mac correct? I see other comments that make me believe so.) I also have Optifine and SPC installed. I downloaded and copied the forge files into my minecraft.jar folder and placed the NBTedit zip in my mods folder.
Here's my crash report:

(I just unzipped the nbt edit .zip and ran mc again and it crashed. I can show you that crash report if you wish, but I believe the issue is with forge.)
Oh, sorry. Just read on the optifine forums that I should install forge before optifine. Sorry about that.

I need more information. Are you on a SinglePlayer world? Multiplayer? Does this always happen?

today i used this mod and i did a fast run on superflat. guess what? when i was trying to stop myself before i ran into lag i ran into lag when chunks were loading and now minecraft is trying to shut down the world because of the lag.
Excuse me Davidee, but how come spawners don't get saved? No matter what I do they always revert to their originals data. It happens whenever it spawns a new mob.

I need more information. It seems a few users are having difficulties saving spawners. Please post how you are editing the data (perhaps using the save slots), what version you are using, as well was your NBTEdit log. Note that a previous version did have problems saving a ROOT tag created with a save slot, so make sure you're updated. Also note that you should delete the SpawnPotentials tag of a spawner when you modify it (only edit the SpawnData if possible).

Never mind, apparently you would have to use the SpawnPotentials for it to save, otherwise SpawnPotentials would over-write the SpawnData section. And also I am using the latest version and not using the save slot feature.

Then yeah, that's your problem. Previously, there was no spawn potentials tag - that's a relatively new feature I believe. I think it allows you to have multiple versions of an entity spawn from the spawner.
Thank you!

Apparently there is an mcpc+ port of bukkit or something along those lines to work with Forge. I personally haven't tried it but I've heard it works

The "Name" tag is a String, NOT a list. You made the name tag a "List" so it crashed.
I thought zombies with helmets don't burn?
Thanks if you reply and help me!
I feed off changelogs.
Asking for updates is spam. Really.
I make some mods that are pathetically slow to update. Join in on the wait here and here.
