I'm really sorry I didn't reply any sooner. In order to use it on MP, both the server and you need to have the mod installed for it to work.

Sorry if I'm asking what's already been answered, but I read the last few pages and didn't see anything clear.



Is there any version of this that I can use for 1.7.5 (server) and 1.7.2 (client) that doesn't require forge for either the client or server?

So i took the liberty to update this to 1.8 considered that he hasn't updated it to 1.7.10 himself and neither made a respond (so i didn't exspect a 1.8 in a long time)



For people who wish to use it themselves you are free to do so

the forge version that it is build on is "11.14.0.1295" (which is a beta version of forge for 1.8) i have a hardcoded Fieldname so using any other version may or may not work.

Even though you use the same version i do not garentee that it will work. do not post crash logs here if it doesn't work it just to bad.

i offer no real support for this. and it might break your save so make backups!.

if you loose your save and all your work dont come running to me

the most important thing to remember is "NEVER!" load a save in 1.7 once it has been loaded in 1.8

A quick update to the "unoficial fix" i made. it should fix a few errors.

it should now survive an update from forge. (meaning any version later than 1295 should still be working with it)



It does not work intended on 1281 so if you use that version you need to use the "/nbtedit x y z" command.

So does this support 1.7.10 with some other mods like CustomNPC?

Can i edit my own entity with this?
if yes, how?

EDIT: forget that, you CAN NBT-edit yourself by tipping "/nbtedit me"
i discovered that by trying randomly and i've found it!

Here is an unofficial version for 1.7.10, modified by a user in this topic. It has worked for various players, including myself.

Hello everybody



Some of you might have seen that i have made an update for this mod to 1.8

After a brief conversation with davidee i have been giving permission to take over this project. meaning that i will now bring support and updates.



I will make a new topic and provide a version for 1.7.10 (which will be the main version) and one for 1.8 (development version)

It will take some time before i have a stable enough version, so untill then i urge you to use the "unoficial" patches here

I have a problem with finding the entity ID... namely, their NAME.

I feel like i should make the new topic already to "stop" confusing.

I am working on the new version, however i am doing alot of "recoding" (more or less re inventing the mod)

When I try to edit a chest or well.... ANYTHING! It crashes my world and says "A fatal error has occured, this connection is terminated." but I am not on a server.

Guess my version is broke then, i will not make an update for the unofficial.

i'll try to see if i can get my own version on release state a bit quicker now.
