Hmm, not really sure what to say... Does it work then?
For some reason, from what I can tell, the riding tag works with every nbt editor aside from the ingame one. I can attest to riding a cave spider, there's somebody who has a picture of riding an ender dragon, and there's at least one video about the riding tag.

I know that spawners can spawn entities like that... that may be it

Nope. Transformed a boat into a cave spider, myself. Ingame, the entity id reverted to boat. Using out of game nbt editors, I was able to ride a cave spider.

I've been trying to use the mod in multi on a server I made, it worked fine in 1.5, then I couldn't test it until bukkit released the recent 1.6.2 for which it doesn't work...
nbtedit isn't a recognized command, even though I'm op in my server and modifyed items I made in single, saved through TMI and tried to use on my server just revert back to their basic state (like player skull becoming normal steeve head again)
Ok nevermind, I saw that you need the mod installed, which mean I need to change to forge-bukkit, but it bug some of my plugins so I'll have to go without NBTedit...
Only point that remain a mystery is: why did it worked fine before without install needed, and why doesn't it still work now?
I just looked into it and the Riding tag is only read when entity is read on chunk load. Thus, it's not going to work... However, I'm going to be releasing a mod soon that has support for stack entities - stay tuned.

I need more information - you're using MCPC+, right?
One of the greatest and useful mod. 2 Things I would like you to add: Renaming of Save Slots and Add a Save Slot Button(where you can have infinite save slots but only creates one if you press the button).
Renaming of Save Slots: I like keeping samples of things so I can work from there and being able to name save slots would be great to know which 1 is which.
Add a Save Slot Button: Sometimes I find 7 too be too little and Would like to add more, but some people might not, so a Save Slot button would be great(with a scroller), or maybe the number of slots could be in the config?
Renaming is already possible - right click on the slot that you want to rename (it's based off of TMI's way of renaming slots). As for adding in more save slots, we'll see.

Nope, I'm using bukkit, I always used only bukkit, but before 1.6.2 I could create an object in SPM, modify it with your mod, save it in tmi and then use it as I made it in the server...
And i could also directly make it in the server...
Now though *shrug* no can do...
I'm not asking for anything to be done about it, I just wonder why it worked before and not anymore... curious, is all...

It should work.. what's the problem exactly? Is Forge + the mod installed correctly?
Help Davidee I tried to use this on a server im admin on and it says unknow command? the server is running 1.6.2 bukkit and essensials. You mentioned MCPC+ what is this and do you need it? thanks for the awsome plugin
-lagboy
You need to have a MCPC+ server. It's a special download that should be able to run both Forge mods and bukkit plugins. I'm not that familiar with it, but I'm sure you can find some guide/tutorials about it online.

Forge is installed on my client, the mod too, but since I don't use MCPC I can't install it on the server... but before it never was an issue like i repeat again...
Could you please explain what you mean by this? Also, is there some way around this problem?

From what I can tell, Minecraft writes the Riding tag but doesn't appear to read it - do spider jockeys still exist after reloading the world?
You need to download MCPC+, which supports a Bukkit-Forge server
A check using TMI reveals that spider jockeys do not separate upon reloading of worlds.
Edit: Also, you can ride mobs using any nbt editor that operates outside of the game.
Thank you!
Also, it would be nice if the root tag was selected by default when opening the interface, so keyboard controls would work there immediately, too.
Hmm, not really sure what to say... Does it work then?
The "Health" tag is deprecated - use the "HealF" (float) tag instead.
You need to use MCPC+, which can run a Bukkit-Forge server (both forge mods and bukkit plugins).
No, I don't believe there is, but I could add that.. we'll see. I'm busy with other mods.

NBTEdit cannot modify entity types mid game.
I see, then that would be the problem.

also, can i edit the data of an offline player with this?
Current # of wood planks: -2147483648.
um, who overflowed my wood farm?
This mod works fine

What is the Voxel modpack? This mod just needs Forge in order to run.
Sure, of course!
And you can't edit the data of an offline player, sorry.

Hmm, the video in the first post is really good, but I'm not sure if it covers attributes. Either way, I suggest you watch it.

The mod work perfectly in SPM...
