Why do other mods create an instance of Texture ?
Shouldn't they just register texture name and let Minecraft/OptiFine/ShadersMod load texture for them ?
120 fps in v10 you sure about that? You must have either been playing in a postage stamp sized window with draw distance set to tiny or you have some as yet unreleased super gfx card. I was recently talking to someone using Titans and even he wasn't getting over 100 fps in v10 RC7 with typical settings
Im a bit more advanced than just a normal PC user. I am coding and optimizing stuff for my self. I have optimized Minecraft so high, that without any shaders or High Textures, just normal Render and Fast i get 325 FPS and more. But ya, it has been laggy now after 1.4.7.

Youre so advanced you cannot use copy/paste and send people to some moronic link to see you tech specs? You are so advanced you 'code and optimize' minecraft huh? You mean you install optifine and mess with settings? OOOOHHH SO ADVANCED!
What a joke. Youre not getting 325fps with shaders, so stop BSing.
I guess the only Problem is EnderStorage, as I had the problem before (see page 104 or something like that). It might be that ChickenBones added some features that cause that incompatibility if you say that it worked well with previous versions. AFAIK, Railcraft is not a problem for GLSL. And it's definitely not a problem of Forge. The only way there could be a problem with forge is if your forge version is below 707. As I see, it's not.
Its part of the problem. It works fine by itself, as does Traincraft. When ShaderMod is installed with either of those alone, the error happends. When Shadermod is alone it also has no issue. The strange thing is that I had all this working with these versions a few days ago, and even going back to the forge version I was using isnt helping now. Very odd bug.

He said that he gets 325+ FPS without shaders.

If you're going to quote people....

....bold it, or put your response outside of the quotes!
I had to read it 3 times to figure out that you actually changed something !
But thats what I mean. 300+ FPS without shaders is a common thing, and not only that, its moronic to say in the shader thread of all places. We are all only intrested in framerates *with* shaders. That guy is strange, it almost feels like he's spamming for page hits or something.
I just hope someone figures out what is causing the problem. Only reason I want to use the shaders is to get decent FPS. Sounds weird, but the shaders actually force my GPU to participate instead of being idle.
This mod actually increases my fps, until I start using ultra shaders does my fps drop
*facepalm*
Your GPU is already participating and not 'idle' when playing MC. You likely have bad drivers or bad settings. i.e. your GPU isnt kicking out of power saver mode. FPS will be 3-6x shader FPS when working properly. Turn off power saver mode.
By idle I mean its on the 2d clock...
Yeah, except for the fact that I did several things to try and get my gpu out of idle, including a full reinstall of windows. All to no avail.
However, when I use shaders on an unmodded 1.5.2 I get a lot higher fps than when I dont use shaders on that same unmodded 1.5.2
Explain that please.
I have something similar to that actually: I get worse framerate when I don't have reflections (excluding silder), which actually confuses my because that's just even more resource needed stuff.
It's an incompatibility of ShadersMod with these mods of ChickenBones'. Some of them seem to add textures quite strange (as I've read in the posts above). Thus, if you run Minecraft either without ShadersMod or these mods, it will work fine.
Seems like youre just repeating what I said back to me ??
I know the what, is wrong, what is confusing is the why.
I was just last week using
Railcraft_1.5.1-7.1.0.0
and I was using
ShadersMod-mc1.5.2-ofud3-1.46
. I remember this clearly because I was activly useing a DoF shader while playing with the Railcraft toys. Suddenly now we have this strange crash. So Im not sure how this even came to be in the first place.
It is possible to "enhace" the - as AtomicStryker said - funky render code of Notch's Minecraft. As you can see with OptiFine, FPS increases of over 200% are possible. If he can code very, very well, I think that 300+ FPS are no border.
Youre just repeating what I said. Steps to often getting double framerate:
1. Install optifine.
I get 250 *without* optifine and I'm not on a high-end machine (95$ CPU is the bottleneck). His framerate without shaders is irrelevant anyway.
Boasting about getting 120fps with shaders on it without providing any real proof is what makes him a sillyman. I mean, 120fps doing what? Looking up at the sky? Please. He isnt doing crap unless he turned off everything in the config files. Then what is the point? That stops being shaders and starts just being color overlay.
Also to that kid, for the record, getting 350fps with an i5 at 1366x768 res doesn't make you"more advanced than just a normal PC user." It makes you someone that knows how to open minecraft. Congrats there

Re-installing windows would not have ever fixed this sort of problem. It's a driver issue. Happens to a lot of GPUs with differant games depending on driver and version of the game (including mine in the past that I have since solved). What is your GPU make/model?
Everybody stop arguing about FPS. I get only 40FPS with shaders (on the lowest config) and I'm proud of that. All of you grow up and be proud your computer can run shaders. Sometimes things like this don't matter. Just be happy with what you have, and even the fact you own a computer.
But thats what I mean. 300+ FPS without shaders is a common thing, and not only that, its moronic to say in the shader thread of all places. We are all only intrested in framerates *with* shaders. That guy is strange, it almost feels like he's spamming for page hits or something.
You sort of messed up that quote lol
I'm sure we all know what you mean, it was just difficult to even determine that there was a point to your post.
The point that I was trying to make (and why I purposely quoted your post like that) is to make it easier for others to read your replies ;).
By idle I mean its on the 2d clock...

It's either one of two things:
1) Drivers (which everyone has said already)
2) Intel/PCI Express Graphics conversion and/or Powersaving Features
All of the new Intel CPUs (since the original i3/i5/i7) all have Intel HD Graphics onboard. Your motherboard can actually offload graphics to the CPU Graphics instead of your PCIE video card if it feels that it can keep up with the demand.
I think the software (or name for this) is Lucid Something-or-other -- LucidShape or LucidLogic or something..
I use an AMD 6950 and an AMD 5850 and *DO NOT* see this issue occurring on an i7 2600K and an i5 2500K. BUT I have that feature turned off in the BIOS, and I did not install the Intel Lucid-whatever software on my computer.
Here is ASUS's version of this feature:
LucidLogix® Virtu Universal Switchable Graphics Technology
LucidLogix® Virtu is designed for the Intel® Sandy Bridge platform's powerful integrated graphics. Its GPU virtualization dynamically assigns tasks to the best available graphics resources based on power, performance and system load on Windows® 7 based PCs. when i generate a new world minecraft exits sorry for bad grammer I am an egyptian
You're going to need to tell us how your Minecraft is modded (manually, MagicLauncher, MultiMC). Also if you are using Forge, or one of the other launchers we need a crash report or FML Log.
I have an AMD mobo, so dont have intel integrated graphics. My mobo doesnt have integrated graphics.
As for drivers, I tried a lot of AMD drivers from 12.11 all the way till the latest 13.6 beta. All do the same and my gpu clock just sits there on low speed.
I also tried several OC'ing programs to force my clock up to normal 3d clock speeds. This nicely put my clock on high speed, but had no effect on fps in Minecraft.
So I got my speed up, but somehow my gpu doesnt take Java seriously and just uses minimal processing power to assist.
Only with the shadermod installed does it get to normal speed. This is the only way that works for me to make my gpu realize that it is needed.
I never said that your motherboard has integrated graphics, I said that your i3/i5/i7 processor has integrated graphics (at least anything 2nd gen/3rd gen).
I then proceeded to tell you that the motherboard has the ability to offload graphics processing to the integrated graphics in the processor rather than to your discrete graphics card to save power.
If java/windows/your drivers don't want to use your discrete graphics card to render the visuals, overclocking it isn't going to make any difference in the world, now is it?
As I said, I have the feature turned off, and mine works fine.
Normal minecraft gets great FPS, with Optifine alone I get crazy FPS, with Optifine and GLSL Shaders I get ~30-40 fps with Ultra RC6-based shaders.
I may be wrong and I don't pay much attention to the AMD side of things, but I thought you only had integrated gfx on AMD motherboards not the CPU itself
You are correct, I did some more research and it is only on the mobo that AMD has integrated graphics.
Still I did go through my entire bios settings again just to see if there was anything there to help me.
When I change to a different window (not Minecraft) My gpu does kick in and my fps shoots up.
However as soon as I switch focus to minecraft the gpu clock goes back to default 2d clock.
So, nothing in the BIOS that points to LucidLogix-type stuff for AMD's motherboard-integrated-graphics? I haven't been keeping up with AMD at all since the i-series Intel CPUs came out -- AMD took far too long to get back on the band-wagon..
There's got to be some sort of offloading (not being seen) or a driver issue going on.
Ohhhhh, wait, do you have the FPS at VSYNC or something like that in the video settings? (stupid Q, but it would be SOOO simple ;))
I bet you're one of those weird people who buys food instead of pooter parts
LOLz! I baren't went to College, did a 3yr course compressed into 1yr. Plus that was all done in a Local eLab instead of going to campus/appts from a distance.. I just wanted to get it over an done with. I had a family to watch out for .

Hmm, sorry dude, I'm running out of ideas..
Something has to be going into power management mode ... the pcie link, the video card itself, the drivers..
I've got to think on it .. it takes something pretty good to stump me, but you're pretty darn close!
Just to clarify, your FPS with Optifine is over say 200, and your FPS with Optifine & GLSL is ~50?
