The 1.4.2 works great for me, but for some reason this 1.4.4 version is just giving me the magenta texture for water, no matter how many times I install, wipe my entire MC folder, start from scratch, etc. It's really strange, and probably something really simple I am missing.
I have the same problem. I installed everything right, but I have magenta water!
seus v10rc5 not working properly, in fact none of the v10 shaders that used to work in 1.3.2 will work right for me. after doing the edits (duping gbuffers_textured_lit, terrain.png, light maps, etc) I got the water working fine, but then all the water reflections get extended to normal land blocks as well:
any good reason why you don't just post the properly edited seus shaders? seeing as none of these guys are updating or submitting their own verions, and you have permission to repost them. might as well instead of having everyone do the same edits over and over again.
and the version of ovo's rustic pack linked in the op is useless here, the textures are not even updated for 1.4.

want to post your shader package for us? I did all the edits in op, and ended up with the above problems on the same card.
Here should you find everything you need, http://fenlight.enjin.com/ (Shaders and Texture packs for 1.4.x SEUS also Ovos rustic.)
I noticed some people had similar problems, but I never saw a solution... Any ideas on this? I ran the inst.exe in administrative mode.

It will work in 1.4.5, though it is kind of buggy... But that may just be my graphics card. Check out the video that I posted a link to above. It will hopefully help you get it to work for 1.4.5.

I have no idea how to install this. I ran the installer and it said that it was installed and I have optifine and it doesn't want to work. I am trying to run the 1.4.5 version of this. Can someone please help?

I'm having the blue screen issue on 1.4.5. I've tried several different shader sets, two different versions of Optifine (OptiFine_1.4.5_HD_U_D4.zip & OptiFine_1.4.5_HD_U_D3.zip), no Optifine, and have also tried with a clean minecraft.jar without anything else installed.
I've installed optifine manually into the jar, as well as this mod, and any alternate shader sets. Yes, I did them in the correct order.
Specs:
OS: Windows XP
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3500 @ 2.2GHz
RAM: 1GB DDR2 (Minecraft's limit is set to 512MB using Magic Launcher)
GPU: Nvidia GeForce 7600GS x2 (SLI setup, but have it set to Single GPU rendering for minecraft since SLI doesn't do any good for the game)
LWJGL Version: 2.8.5
Forge is installed directly into the jar, before anything else. Version: 1.4.5-6.4.1.410
I'm getting nothing but the blue sky, and errors that shouldn't be happening in the log.
(This was done with all my normal mods enabled, and Optifine D4 instead of D3. Any other combination of Optifine and mods/no other mods produces the same errors. Different shader sets give the same errors too.

Main thing seems to be that it says my 4 draw buffers are not enough, despite the source saying 4 is the minimum needed. No other applications are using OGL at the same time, so all 4 should be available. Any ideas?
Making the mod compatible with connected texture while keeping the form of patch is difficult.
I think I should give up patch and release modified class files in a zip file instead.
It seems 4 draw buffers are not enough.
I think 4 may be enough for earlier version of daxnitro's GLSL Shaders mod.
Then the mod evolves and consumes more buffers.
It now uses 8 draw buffers.
karyonix, I'd like to thank you for your hard work. Looks like daxnitro abandoned his mod completely. I used your version and it works perfectly and all. I do have one problem though, but I didn't want to interfere with it but seeing you're going to begin some work on compatibility with CTM, I decided that it might be a good time to introduce my little (I hope it's little) request.
You see I'm not too into MC mods, I prefer vanilla experience. But there still are some mods which not alter but enhance MC's atmosphere. One being GLSL shaders with sonic ether mod (and hence Optifine) and another one is MATMOS ( http://www.minecraft...here-simulator/ ). Both of those wonderful mods are in constant development and to be honest I missed the moment when they became incompatible.
While MATMOS itself doesn't modify .class files in any way, it does require ModLoader. The problem is - as soon as I install mod loader, it breaks GLSL shaders. If I install it the other way (first modloader, then GLSL) - then matmos won't be loaded. Clearly there's some incompatibility between those two. I wonder if it won't be too time consuming for you to investigate this issue? Or shall I address myself to the author of ModLoader?
Wait, no, I'm sorry. Tried replacing ModLoader with forge in this order: Forge -> Optifine -> GLSL shaders and it works... Kinda. The water is violet though. Can't understand why, but I simply can reverse texture pack modifications if anything
edit: ok, got it. Water is back to normal. Forgot about gbuffers_water. God, I feel my self so stupid now.
I am trying to make work GLSL with SEUS and FORGE... But so far I have really bright sreen. Game launches normally, but everything in game is so bright. Even tried texturepack from 1st post, but that didn't help. I have a nVidia GPU, and I heard that SEUS don't want to work with them properly.
Anyone can help me in solving this problem?
Did you put the "Bright" in Video settings to Moody ? And what's your SEUS version ?
I have the same problem. I installed everything right, but I have magenta water!
