Thanks for the great mod, works perfectly! Apart from one thing . . . I can't seem to force AA in the nvidia control panel with the mod installed. I applied it to javaw.exe and I know it works as when I remove the mod it works perfectly. Even stranger is that the menus in the game are still AA'ed even with the mod installed (you can tell from the random text on the main menu) It really adds to Minecraft not having jaggies so does anybody know what might be causing this? Using Minecraft 1.5.2 with Optifine_1.5.2_HD_U_D3 and ShadersMod-mv1.5.2-ofud3-1.4.6

I have heard this a little bit amongst this thread, Chocapic's thread, and the SEUS thread.
Try turning chunk loading to anything other than smooth, and turn AF on to the 1st setting. AF shouldn't have too much of an impact, 3% maybe, it's AA that kills you.
this mod doesn't seem to be compatible with mods that contain their own item rendering such as enderstorage, bibliocraft, thaumcraft, IC2; i've tested it with these mods and end up with a crash every time, this is it

With the unofficial 1.5.2 version that supported Optifine D2 I did not have this problem with any of those mods. Whatever's changed with the official release has broken something I guess.
Is there a place I can redownload the old unofficial one until this is sorted out with the official one? I don't mind downgrading Optifine a little bit but Minecraft is significantly less enjoyable to me without shaders now.

Oh good its back. But before in 1.4.7 it was less laggy with Sonic Unbelievable Shaders. I used v10 before and now. Before: 120 FPS, No lagg. Now: 6 FPS, Full Lagg.

Hmm, your log doesn't say anything about which minecraft.jar mods, coremods, or mods (well a few mods) you have loaded.
When is it crashing? Firing it up, loading a world, when players connect?
Is forge in use? Can we have the forge log (in the main dir) as well?

You can try using Sildur's MAC Shaders instead.. Sorry, I have no idea on any of ACID's work..

Just tested myself, looks like it partially works for AF in the menus, but resets back to OFF when you re-launch MineCraft again. AA takes a restart to kick in, but resets to OFF when you re-launch as well.
Oh, shoot ... totally forgot! Karyonix said somewhere in this thread that GLSL Shaders disable the AA/AF in Optifine because it would end up being too much for *most* video cards. Without the GLSL Shaders, those features would work fine...but then, no shaders :(.

So, you turned off forced AA/AF in the nVidia Control Panel (or AMD Catalyst Control Center), and tried using AA/AF in the Optifine configuration and it didn't work?

Yh, I usually force in the nvidia CP and turned it off.
I then enabled AA in the options menu and restarted, this gave me the effects in the games main menu but none in-game. (it did work on a vanilla instance)
I'm gona guess that would be why then. Oh well. I wish we had the choice to make that decision, the nvidia AA doesn't drop that many frames for me hence why I use it over the in game one (and I get a better effect with 4x than 16x ingame)
I can however use FXAA which is a fake AA that has near to no effect on frame rate. It doesn't render in screenshots though (one of the main reasons I use the shaders) and as it is fake is rubbish compared to the real deal.
Oh well, I don't use the shaders that much anyway (and print-screening to get screenshots with FXAA isn't too hard :D)

You've been around the block, so, I assume you know what you are doing. Probably something really simple that you overlooked ;).
Sounds like you copied the V3.zip into the shaderpacks folder.. You need to open up the V3.zip and drag the v3-high/med/low/lite/ultra folders into the shaderpacks folder.

Already did that... none of the folders work. not even if i re-zip them. something funky is going on... I also uninstalled forge. still nothing. Also Redstone stuff and anything that is not a block is not properly rendering in the inventory OR hand.
Just now retried with Magic Launcher instead of MultiMC and it still is not working. I dont know how or why but the Shaders just refuse to work... Ive tryied EVERYTHING. but they just refuse to work... i had it working before with the unoffical mod but i want my awesome new stuff to play with! i want my normal and specular maps dammit. someone PLEASE help me fix this. im dyeing to play with normal and specular maps!
As of Optifine 1.5.2 Ultra D2, AA and AF within Optifine are working.
You don't need to force it outside of Minecraft any longer.
I have heard this a little bit amongst this thread, Chocapic's thread, and the SEUS thread.
Try turning chunk loading to anything other than smooth, and turn AF on to the 1st setting. AF shouldn't have too much of an impact, 3% maybe, it's AA that kills you.
With the unofficial 1.5.2 version that supported Optifine D2 I did not have this problem with any of those mods. Whatever's changed with the official release has broken something I guess.
Is there a place I can redownload the old unofficial one until this is sorted out with the official one? I don't mind downgrading Optifine a little bit but Minecraft is significantly less enjoyable to me without shaders now.
karyonix, make linear (or more) interpolation for post-processing buffers. Need for get correct depth on some situations.

I DO understand that some GPUs may not support it. I also suspect that this may -MAY- use a ton of resources seeing as it is not visible in the 3dsMax viewports unless the scene is fully rendered. I found that out when I accidentally made a perfectly round rock into a spiky
boulder swallowing a couple minecraft models in the process.

Hmm, your log doesn't say anything about which minecraft.jar mods, coremods, or mods (well a few mods) you have loaded.
When is it crashing? Firing it up, loading a world, when players connect?
Is forge in use? Can we have the forge log (in the main dir) as well?
I know but it has never worked in game for me. I can change the option and it tells me to restart Minecraft. I do and the option has reset and no AA so that's not really an option for me unfortunately. The thing I was getting at is what in the shaders mod is causing it to work in the menus but when a world is loaded not work (and also work without the shaders mod but not when it is in the jar?)
I just tried it in a normal Minecraft instance and using any levels apart from 16 AA doesn't work whilst lv 16 AA does, but still that is in an instance without shaders. With shaders none of the levels of AA work. Anyone know what might be causing this? I'm so confused
You can try using Sildur's MAC Shaders instead.. Sorry, I have no idea on any of ACID's work..
Fair enough, guess I'll just have to enable FXAA for my shaders instance then. I'm sure I had it working before though
