Hi! Hey, Karyonix or Sildur. I NEVER ask for updates, i been looking everyday for this Mod for the Proper Update (Im runing the Shaders in 1.5.1 and 1.4.7 without problems) but i want to know if the full update to 1.5.1 will give it a better performance with the Latest Optifine for 1.5.1 (There is no Waving Grass and the FPS is lower when i use 1.5.1 instead of 1.4.7)
So yeah, this is basically a "Can't wait for the Mode to Update" and a "How is the Update coming along?" question. Since Tekkit has been updated too and also there are TONS of new Mods there, the FPS Performance is sometimes a little bit bad.
You should put your Chunk loading on either Default or Multi-Core. If you put it on Multi-Core, the chunks might flicker, but there are loads of fixes for it on YouTube.
Yes i do man, but you know, even SEUS K26 and L1 work better in 1.4.7
Anyways, there is nothing else to do than wait for Karyonix to update it (And thank him of course!)
Hello, I have tried using this and SEUS in the past I'm gonna try it again with 1.5.1 I found some install videos on youtube, although I would feel better if I got the file directly from you, maybe I still am i don't know. I also get confused with the optifine versions I have no idea what the letters and numbers mean lol so I don't really know which one is best for me or why, i go for ultra lol. One thing I noticed when I tried this and maybe it's more on SEUS end or just the settings but I had bright light come through underwater making it way to easy to see, I could see 100+ blocks clearly underwater and it was bugging me so I'll give this a try again I'd love to get this working nicely. I have an Nvidia GTS 240 I'm not sure how good that is. Thank you for your wonderful work!
How is this taking a long time to update to 1.5.2? This doesn't make any sense! Did the lighting change in 1.5 as (sort of) predicted in a 1.4 snapshot? Is that what this is?
Would it be too much to ask the mod maintainers to chime in?
I'd say screw 1.5.2 and try to port existing functionality to 1.6.
Otherwise many people will have to make a hard choice between gameplay and shaders when 1.6 comes out.
Have you considered accepting donations to support your work?
When I say you I mean karyonix, id_miner, daxnitro or anybody capable of supporting reasonably predictable update schedule.

It's barely updated to 1.5.1, so you're asking for a 1.5.2 already?
The mod creator don't owe you anything, they can take as much as time as they want to update their mod.

I'm sorry, I just find this weird how it took no time to update to 1.4, and they take millenia (no offense at all) to update to 1.5.x. Please forgive me mod creator!
So in case anyone was thinking that Karyonix really WAS dead, or had given up on developing, not true, and he will be resuming as soon as he recovers from a minor injury.
The delay is due to outside commitments, and the new texture system being a pain in the donkey. (stupid censors)
The biggest problem is having to join multiple images for the same texture, and then joining normal and specular maps as well with the same texture coordinate.
To all the impatient idiots screaming "OMG 1.5.2 UPDATE!?!?" you'll just have to learn what patience is and wait a bit longer.
What are you like his brother or cousin or something?
Well then I've just been chatting with his corpse and it seems quite lucid
Look, I'm not looking at what you posted, it's what the thing underneath everything says:
SEUS doesn't need to be updated as it works on any version which has working copies... Please tell me what this means! I'd love to find out and use it when I'm playing Hypixel's awesome adventure maps!
SEUS or any other set of shaders don't care what version of minecraft you use, it's basically a complicated set of config files.
As long as there are compatible versions of Optifine and Karyonix installed, shaders will work.
If Karyonix made a version for 1.0 and you had the right 1.0 version of Optifine installed, SEUS RC7 would work.
This mod is the central part for running shaders and is designed to work on one release of minecraft and one release of Optifine.
if this mod is not available on 1.5.2 for example, you can't use shaders on 1.5.2 end of story, no exceptions.
The reason that's in my signature is because for the last 6 weeks or so, since 1.5 and 1.5.1 came out, at least one person a day asks on the SEUS thread when it's going to be updated to 1.5.1 and I got tired of explaining it over and over again.
ok thx so much... darn I was hoping he had a good description that said it would work...
Hey karyonix, great job on with GLSL shaders. I remember before being able to turn on or off waving leaves, grass, water ect., will that functionality be returning soon?

SEUS does not need to be updated to 1.5.1 as it works on any version which has working copies of the Karyonix ShadersMod and Optifine.
So where then, is the Karyonix ShadersMod for Minecraft 1.5.1 ? Post #1 in this thread only shows a download for 1.4.7
You can't expect people to wade through pages and pages of this forum thread hunting for a post that has no standard layout to indicate that it's a "release announcement".
Forum threads and posts were always bad software distribution vehicles.
At least use something like Github.
I want to use the SEUS texture pack fix with the bump wave shader, for the lighting effects it adds. I just need to be able to adjust the sunlight and maybe the moonlight. It is currently way too dark during the day, I mentioned the same thing to Naelego in his forum. Might make a nice adjustable feature if features get built in again soon. You'll see what I mean in the pictures of Naelego's shader.
I'm gonna try photobucket sorry if there are ads, I'll probably upgrade at some point. I know it's the SEUS fix, but I like the SEUS texture fix effect, but day time isn't bright enough, being able to adjust sunlight and/or moonlight would be great maybe even separately if possible. This isn't the bump wave one i know but it illustrates the same issue and really shows the effects I like well. I suppose the adjustability can be added to the shaderpacks, but if you have a settings option to adjust this, it could be more of a universal fix for the lower quality shaders.

Yea as the guy above said, some texture packs are adjusted to work with shaders. Your textures look exactly as if they have been adjusted and your shader pack is incompatible with them.

I know it is, I did it purposely to show you what could be awesome! Did you see the moon lighting? Did you see the torch lighting? That's is what I like! It looks awesome! It doesn't look like that without the texture fix! It doesn't have to be fancy light rays like SEUS, more adjustable options will never hurt anything, well... put a restore defaults in there MineCraft could have those effects even without shaders added!
Hello! I have a big problem - with B3 optifine and Shader Mod all working very good, but Industrial Craft texture is missing. In 1.5.1_HD_U_C4 this bug is fixed (and in D1 too) - but i can't find Shader Mod for this version! Where can i find it?

Really? I didn't know people had to be signed up, that's lame. I'm new to sharing stuff like this, what do you recommend?
