I have an problem when I start the launcher that says Stitching Texture Atlas ... at I have to do ???
Remove the quote dude, you don't need to quote the entire first post and fill the thread page with it so folks have to scroll for 2 screems. Just ask your question.
Are you using Optifine or Forge or any other mod loader? And if so which versions and what version of minecraft? You might want to attach your shader log as well.
I recently upgraded from 1.6.4 to 1.8 but when I open the game words are made of water and lave textures (I checked that AA is off and anistropic filtering) And when I open a world it just flashes and continues to do so, no other mods are loaded
I have a GTX 980 G1 and an intel i5 4690 using windows 8.1.
I haven't had to deal with this before as on my mac i used to use did not have any glitches whatsoever.
It happened with mystcraft. When I opened the book, the world preview was fullscreen. When I entered the other world, there were glitchy blocks in the air that I could pass through, then it crashed.
I am new to this shaders thing and I got it to work but I had to format my computer.
When I download the Installer, it appears as a Text File, not as a actual Program.
So it is impossible to install it as a Text file.
Can anyone help me please?
It needs to use Java to run: First make sure you have Java installed (make sure to search for the 64-bit version if you're using 64-bit Windows etc), and then tell the shaders installer to use Java.exe to run. In windows this is usually just right-click > "open with..." and then find Java.exe (in program files).
Oh and make sure you have the Minecraft launcher closed before installing.

Its not giving me the option to select Java.
And I do have Java Installed.
I've never seen it missing the "Browse..." button before, but I haven't updated past Win7 yet.
Here's another way; go to control panel, "default programs" and use that to set .jar files to open with java.exe

It quickly shows "Command Promt" and closes it and then it does nothing.
Know any reason for that?
I think I understand, you're trying to run Java.exe? No need to bother with that directly, just double-click the .jar files once you have them associated with Java.

Hey.
I have a non-forge version with optifine and better sprint that my friend sent me (I have no idea how he got better sprint without forge but it is very much there). I do not want to use forge as it greatly cuts my framerate (On a superflat world I average 2,500 FPS without forge but 600 FPS with forge-- even if the only mod I'm using is optifine.) however to install the non-forge version I will need to have a profile of and with only with a certain optifine version. Forget about having better sprint to work with it.
Can I do anything about this?
Will renaming the version to the name of the optifine version get the installer to detect it?
No I wasn't trying to run Java.exe, its showing that it is now a Java File instead of a Text file but as the reason I said above is still happening.
Could it have something to do with my Version?
I am trying 1.8.8
Gonna try and reinstall Java.
I think you might have the 32-bit Java install (looking at your downloads) but I'm not sure if it makes a difference. Definitely makes a difference to performance playing the game, but I really don't know why it's not opening the shaders installer.

But thanks a lot for all your help and being patient with me
So, reinstalling Java did not help to alleviate the issue?
Ok, do this:
Go to your downloads
Right-click on ShadersMod-v2.4.12mc1.8.jar
Hover over OPEN WITH, and click on CHOOSE DEFAULT PROGRAM
Click MORE OPTIONS
Scroll all the way down the window (you have to hover over the list to see it scrolls)
Click LOOK FOR ANOTHER APP ON THIS PC
Click on THIS PC
Click on LOCAL DISK (C:)
Click on PROGRAM FILES
Click on JAVA
Click on JRE8
Click on BIN
Click on JAVAW.EXE
That should get the .JAR files opening with Java for Windows again.
All else fails, download the following, and run it:
All the above does is register the .JAR extension to the JARFILE node, and then assign the JARFILE node to open with "C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_60\bin\javaw.exe" -jar "%1" %*
I'm trying to get the forge version to work in FTB Infinity 1.7.10 but it just lags it intensely, even the main screen background lag. it has worked before I don't know why not now. I have a high end computer
If I helped, or you just like my post, please press the button.
My mods...
Is it safe to assume the developer has abandoned support for 1.7.10?

It accepted it as a Open With program,
But whenever I do use it to open something.
It quickly shows "Command Promt" and closes it and then it does nothing.

So... where is the download for the 1.8.8 version? is it already included in "OptiFine 1.8.8 HD U F3"?
