I got Sildur's shaders, just to test, and it does NOT happen with sildurs. Maybe i should just use Sildurs? I've always used SUES, but sildurs seems nice too.

Sildur's latest shaders are amazing, he even has a wetness light refraction now on blocks, and puddles too..

Actually, puddles may be disabled because of the FPS hit......

You may have better luck asking about the rain issue in the SEUS thread, or try SEUS 10.2 Preview (there are links to it on Cody's FB page).

Sorry that this is only tangentially related to Karyonix's shaders, but I've tried numerous times installing Java 1.8 with no luck. I can't find it on the app store, and the downloads seem to do nothing.

However, when I edit Minecraft profiles, I see this:

/System/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/1.6.0.jdk/Contents/Home/bin/java

but I don't know how to change it to 1.8. Installing the JDK 1.8 hasn't done anything. I'm not sure if you'll be able to help, but I felt it would be worth asking...

Hmm, my understanding was that once you updated to the latest versions of Yosemite (10.10.2?), in the AppStore you could search for Java 1.8 and install it.

You can do it the old fashioned way:

Yeah, I've done that and it hasn't worked. It says it installs, but the java that Minecraft uses doesn't change automatically, and I don't know what to change it to to fix it.

Hello I have found a bug in the the mod when you wear any enchanted armor of any sort you will have all your blocks look like they are from the beta of minecraft also you loose the rectangle that goes around your items. But with my use of shaders it is a great mod besides the 2 bugs

Anyone seeing a GPU memory leak with shaders? I'll often crash with error 6. My GPU has 3GB of ram, I'm using a relatively small resource pack (32x)

If I go exploring, I can steadily watch my GPU memory climb until I crash. Reloading shaders will clear it.

Edit: this is with the shader mod installed. I can use no shaders and still have this happen.

Well, he says that it still crashes even when he has no shaders running.. Questions is, does he mean if the ShadersMod isn't installed, or that he just selected None/Internal from the Options Menu..

We don't know which Java version he is using..

We don't know if he's using Forge (I assume so with Liteloader, but I could be wrong).

Could be as simple as a video driver update / downgrade.

I use Forge 1341, Liteloader, Optifine D1, Shaders 2.4.11 and don't have any problems on my system (i7-2600k, 16gb ram, 780ti 3gb, win8.1 x64). Same on my workstation at work (Xeon E3-1245v3, 16gb ram, Quadro K2000, win8.1 x64).

I can't remember which driver I am running at home, not the latest. I just upgraded from 335.23 to 347.88 at work. Still going strong here (at lunch of course ;).

Is it possible for you to add your mod to the curse website.. There is a new program called "curse client" but its also known as curse voice. You must have know about it or heard about it. I would like you to add your mod to the curse website so i can use curse client to add that mod to my mc game. and another reason is that i dont have to help my young brother to get mods like your and put it in the mod folder because he dont know how to download them or get them. he dont use his brain.

No forge installed, Process for mods was as follows

Edit profile to use 1.8

Run latest optifine.jar and allow it to install

Run shadermod.jar and choose the optifine profile

Run Liteloader and choose the OF+SM profile.

I meant with None/Internal from the options menu, not with SM disabled. I'm about to test with just OF and no SM/LL

Edit: My bad, looks like it's happening with vanilla as well. :/

Hmm, strange. Still looking, can you try updating forge from 1044 to the latest 1339 / 1341?

1044 was one of the preview builds, if I recall correctly..

Karyonix has done his testing on build 1339, I'm using 1341 myself -- I can't find any differences between the 2 builds.

No forge installed, Process for mods was as follows

Edit profile to use 1.8

Run latest optifine.jar and allow it to install

Run shadermod.jar and choose the optifine profile

Run Liteloader and choose the OF+SM profile.

Java looks to be OK.

Not using the latest Official MC Launcher, but that's OK, as it uses its own build of Java 1.8 Build 25. Are you running the old Official MC JAR Launcher, or another launcher -- MultiMC / MagicLauncher being the most common?

Thx for testing without ShadersMod. I had a suspicion it wasn't related, there would be way more reports of crashing/memory leaks if it was.

Might be time to delete your assets/libraries/versions (basically every folder in the .minecraft directory except saves/resource packs/shader packs/mods) -- you might have a mods folder because of LiteLoader.

Use the Official Launcher to fire up 1.8 once, then add Optifine, then add ShadersMod (I'd test here), then chain LiteLoader to the Optifine+Shaders profile (test again).
