Following the release of Keralis' video of the update of the Shaders Mod, I began to follow the instructions precisely regarding downloading shaders mod and forge "997".
I have run into a problem and I am hoping someone here can help me. When I open the launcher and set my profile to Forge 1.7.2, the launcher closes and begins to launch Minecraft, then stops and re-opens the launcher instead.
I can play just fine on any previous version and recent version of vanilla, but I keep having this problem. I don't know if it is Forge or the Shaders Mod and I am not skilled enough to investigate which one is or isn't causing the problem.
1)forge + optifine B5 are not working properly
2)forge + optifine + GLSL are not working properly
so for 1).. it is because when i tried to click a world to play.. but it take me back to the menu of the minecraft (i don't mean launder).
2) the minecraft crashed and shut down without showing errors...
it seemed that GLSL shader are needed to be update to fit with optifine B5, so they can both work properly... and for Forge.. the people who made it will needed to fix some error and bugs. so it can work properly with optifine and GLSL
I just recently upgraded to a GTX 770 and was pretty disappointed that my framerate was still not very good. I just tried out the 1.7 beta with a few shader packs, and I was hovering around 30-50 fps at 1080p. My CPU isn't very good (AMD A10-5800k) but I thought shaders relied more on the GPU.
so i ran some test along with GLSL shader.. Heres the result:
Forge + OPtifine + GLSL are not working properly because when i clicked a world called "world test". Then i am in the game, but the problem is there are black circle on the outside with menus in the center (inside)... There is other posts that describe the same issue and theres also picture. so it haven't solved. I also noticed that the mod "GLSL" haven't show up in the list in the mods' list, but i can tell its there in the setting (options).
Forge + Optifine: are working properly so far as i haven't seen any problem.
Forge + GLSL are working properly.. but i don't know if its true.. because there are some chunks that are not loading faster.. it is as if they are stuck.. i could see lava and cave from where i am standing next to a chunk that is not loading...
it is as i thought... GLSL shader are really in needed to be updated to work with optifine and have some issue to be fixed. or improve.. like have chunk load faster better.

Have you tried the chunk loading without shaders mod?
And Karyonix himself said this is not compatible with Optifine.

hmmm. there is one thing.. since i managed to get to the minecraft menu... after i got to the launder. so far i see that optifine and forge and GLSL are there... but in previous of forge 995-999... it crashed... so i was wondering what was the issue that cause optifine and GLSL since i know its not the forge.. well you can say its like optifine are oil... GLSL are water... you know it is as if they hated each other.. so they don't mixed well. thats the same idea of what Karyonix mean "not compatible" oh well i am just saying my thought. because there must be one thing in file of GLSL that causes such an issue with optifine. hmmmmmm. ......
and oh yeah.. there is one more thing.. the mod, "GLSL" haven't showed in the mod list when i have forge.. even without optifine... and also just so you know GLSL is a beta.. its not completed. there are other mods that some people are working on for 1.7.2.. but i know there will be 1.8.x pretty soon. in few months or less. like i said it may take some times...

Has anyone else had this happen to them?
I had the same problem, but a simple solution
You have to remove any 1.6 or below mods because forge is 1.7. After that it works like it's supposed to.
okay got a huge problem when i start up all i see is the main menu with a black filling around it this is when i play and i can move i can go to inventory but when i press esc it crashes and i can't see anything
Ok what did I do wrong? I ran Minecraft Forge and my whole Minecraft crashed.

I'm unsure why, but the BETA 1.7.2 version of the shader mod doesn't seem to be working for me;
I installed Forge, set the profile to FML (1.7.2), played the game so the mods folder shows, then I put in the shader mod .jar in it (also added a shaders pack to the shaders folder) but it doesn't seem to work, because
I start up the game, in the options the "Shaders" option is there, I can go in it, select a shader, etc, but when I click on "Mods" on the main menu, the shaders mod doesn't show up.. Just the Coder Pack and Forge, and when I go ingame, it's normal, I go in "Shaders" and double click, and my minecraft world looks brighter, with no shadows.
I probably need to do something else, but I'm not sure what.. So any help?
Uh, shaders mod will not appear on the mods list. I need your specs. If you have an Nvidia card, you need drivers that are below 327 (not at or above).
You have Optifine installed, which is not compatible with 1.7 shaders mod.Uh, shaders mod will not appear on the mods list. I need your specs. If you have an Nvidia card, you need drivers that are below 327 (not at or above).Edit:Forge 1007 works with shaders mod.
going to test F1007 & Shaders & Opti Now.Heard from Sp614x something that is causing the problems:
The problem is the order in which Forge is loading the mods, it was working in 1.6.2 and was broken in 1.6.4.If Forge 1.7.x is loading the mods in the correct order, then the GLSL shaders will work with OptiFine.
Also going to test if I could flip the loading order using Magic after, when I usually use MultiMC5.
Test 1 Results:
Test 2: ML Crashes when I try to run it for some unknown reason.
Optifine in mods folder is not compatible because of change in Forge/FML. Forge/FML can load Optifine in mods folder but it runs Optifine's class transformer after ShadersMod, so Optifine overwrite the change that ShadersMod does, so ShadersMod is not functional. I have an experimental FML Plugin for loading OptiFine from mods folder. If you are interested, follow this link.
Edit: Well, I was wrong. But the same thing should be made karyonix for 1.7.2. This is the console for the crash:

Hey! Getting this with GTX 580 driver version 331.65 and SEUS 10.1 Preview-1: http://puu.sh/6qicI.png Also, running Forge 1007. Spiders and endermen are glowing orange and the clouds are looking like that. Just wanted to report it. If you need more details, please let me know :-)
Clouds are WIP so turn them off. Comment (put '//' before) line 1634 in composite.fsh.
When waiting for final 1.7 release - can you tell how would my PC work with these shaders (SEUS to be exact)?
- Intel Core i5-3350P
- A pair of 2GB DDR3 1333MHz memory chips
- ASUS Radeon HD7770 1GB (slightly overclocked; latest beta drivers)
- Windows 8.1 Pro x64
I have run into a problem and I am hoping someone here can help me. When I open the launcher and set my profile to Forge 1.7.2, the launcher closes and begins to launch Minecraft, then stops and re-opens the launcher instead.

Agreed, I have the exact same issues, Forge 1000/1001/1002 don't even load worlds when no mods are present.
Back to Forge 999.
As a side note, I'll have to play with the settings, I let Forge/Shaders/MC 1.7.2 pick all of their default settings. The view is horrible.
I feel like I have a DoF enabled, but I do not have any DoF shaders.
Now that I think about it, I believe it setup the 'Quake FOV' by default, and that is likely the culprit.
I ran some test with forge 1002...
1)forge + optifine B5 are not working properly
2)forge + optifine + GLSL are not working properly
so for 1).. it is because when i tried to click a world to play.. but it take me back to the menu of the minecraft (i don't mean launder).

You have Optifine installed, which is not compatible with 1.7 shaders mod.
Uh, shaders mod will not appear on the mods list. I need your specs. If you have an Nvidia card, you need drivers that are below 327 (not at or above).
Edit:
Forge 1007 works with shaders mod.

Test 2: ML Crashes when I try to run it for some unknown reason.
