There's a problem when using modular powersuits with shaders. Upon loading a world with both installed, the game flashes between the brown loading screen and the main menu, but the game sounds are running in the background, and the game never loads.
you can fix this by editing the line in the machine mus config file, graphics section:
"Use Pixel/Vertex Shaders" to false
I have a problem. The mod installs but whenever I try to start my Minecraft it always crashes. It says that something is wrong with Minecraft's textures. However when I uninstall the mod my Minecraft works just fine. Is there a specific version of optifine that I need to install this mod or anything else I can do to try to fix this?
Can you try to open up Minecraft, let it crash .. if it opens, load a world, save & close it, and then exit.
Go to %appdata%\.minecraft.
Open up ForgeModLoader-client-0.log and copy/paste the contents into a spoiler tag here in the forums.
We'll do our best to help you out.
Aside from that, which version of Forge are you using? If you are using Optifine, which version is it, and how was it installed?
GLSL Shaders Mod (updated by karyonix) v2.2.1 for Minecraft 1.6.4
Requires either Forge or FML.
Compatible with Forge 9.11.1.953, Optifine 1.6.4 HD Ultra C8.
Incompatible with Optifine loaded by Forge from mods folder unless patched with "optifinefml".
Optifine's anisotropic filtering and anti-aliasing are not compatible yet. Turn them off when use with shaders mod.

Hello! I'd like to use this shaders mod on my minecraft server, but I've found some problem. Here is screenshot, I put blocks of sand over my head, and i can look through the ground and walls. How can I fix that?

I had a problem with shaders recently, I was getting around 1-10 fps with any shader pack (running a GTX gigabyte 770 OC!) which is ridiculous, that's not suppose to happen at all. I downgraded my drivers and now I get 30 fps with shader at decent settings RenderResMul: 1. and ShadowResMul: 2-4 (not diffrent for GPU)
before with these settings I got 120 fps! When I had RenderResMul: 2 and ShadowResMul: 4 I would get a very stable 55-60 fps (All of these are with view distance FAR) now I get 20 fps. Will these terrible issues ever be fixed? (Running 320.49 drivers)
EDIT: Now I tried updating to latest drivers and I get about a 5-10 fps extra but I still don't get what I use to get before!
1.7 update status
The required tools (MCP and FML) has just been updated (2013-12-25).
MCP is in beta but I am not sure about current status of FML.
It will take some time to update shaders mod.
It is possible to make non-FML version but it will take longer time to make an installer or it will be difficult to install, so I will not do that.
I will not wait for new optifine. The early shaders mod release for 1.7 will most likely be incompatible with optifine again.

Great to know that something is coming! So you're gonna start working once FML is updated? Or right away, and I have a non relevant question but why did you make it so that we require FML for shaders? Before you wouldn't need it unless that was before you started working on it :/

1. I start working on 1.7 without FML.
But I am not sure about installation process of coremod and libraries without FML.
It may be difficult for some users to install. To make it easy I may have to write installer.
2. I need ASM library to make mod that comply with Mojang's TOS.
Installing FML is easiest way to install ASM library in user's machine.
It also provides an easy way to install mod. With it, I don't have to make an installer.
Forge is a great platform for multiple mods to run together.
Even though shaders mod does not use Forge API, it should be compatible with Forge.
So mc1.6 shaders mod was made for Forge first.
Requirement can be trimmed down if I have enough time.
Well... I try new optifine with new GLSL shader without the FML plugin but I run minecraft fine.....
Or maybe there are some functions which have broken and I didn't find them out?

FML is for compatibility, but FML is in MinecraftForge. One of the old Optifine versions overwritten the mod without the Optifine patch and shadows couldn't render.

You probably can't roll back to 306.XX or 314.XX ... but you can roll back to 320.49 and use that.
Everyone else on the forums recommend that version .
