Will this be updated for 1.8 in the near future? I'm excited to use this on my private server.
Try using your brain for a second. Does forge exist for 1.8? no. Do any of the other modded servers exist for 1.8? no. Are you allowed to ask for updates on the forum? no.
/off topic, modded/plugin minecraft is not dead, it's still being worked on and even after Microsoft bought minecraft. on topic, I would like to know if there is a way to stop the plugin from spamming the chat logs for rendering the maps, I don't know if it does this the first time until the maps are rendered fully but I would like to know.

I was wondering: Is there a function in dynmap or a separate plugin I can use to make a parsed image file for a complete render of a world? What I need is 1 image of all the tiles combined of a world at a spesific zoom. Is this possible, will it be possible in the future?
No 1.8 support before Forge for 1.8 is at least in Beta: given that MCP 1.8 isn't available (the decompile of 1.8 that Forge is based on), that is going to be some time..... and Sponge (the Bukkit replacement being worked on now) will depend upon Forge 1.8, so that'll be even longer.
Enjoying this on our subserver we are building for a twitch streamer. WE are currently using alpha3. The plugin links are now working, so that's a plus, only issue is it seems all the rendering in alpha2 has regressed in alpha3. It doesn't render the mods as well, most trees are turning brown, and the clouds went from white/transparent to gold blocks. Could be a natura bug as well of course. They are very alpha as well.
Anyways, thanks again for all the work you DO mikeprimm
We love for you to help us out with a problem...We are using Dynmap on our server and it worked for a couple of days and now we cant connect to it...
Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at 69.115.87.180:3600.
The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
Any ideas Please contact back AdventurePros Youtube Channel or Here

not to be rude, but did you change the stock port from 8123 to 3600 or could that be the problem? also, if your trying to connect on the same network (eg, on the same router) as the server is running on then you would need to use the internal IP from the router.

according to a post from LexManos on forge FML, FML is ready for testing and some use, here's a quote from Lex himself:
FML for 1.8 is already out and available for use on both the modder side on user side. Once that stabilizes, I update Forge.
Simple, modders should start working on 1.8 and let me know!
Good to hear - I'll look in to it, and see about finding time to get started on it. The 'full' 1.8 support is going to be a LOT of work - specifically with regard to support for the customizable block models in the 1.8 resource packs. This feature is tremendously cool, but will basically make it so that I cannot support ANY RP that customizes models until it is fully supported (since the custom models also alter the names, definition, and use of the texture resources - so using the textures on the existing vanilla models = big old mess). I still need to see how the model support is being handled by Lex in Forge 1.8 - but, hopefully, it will lead to options for me to more easily support 1.8 mods in the future (the biggest problem with pre-1.8 block definitions is that the models were completely in-code and client-side only, as were the interfaces for querying the block texture use - even on trivial cube blocks: the 1.8 model shift most (but not all) of the information needed to render blocks into resource data that is in RPs (or in the mod files as RP-like resources): the main exception is the logic for determining which 'state' a given block is in for rendering (basically, which of the 1 or model choices should be used for the block). For trivial blocks (single state), and for block emulating vanilla block state behavior (custom fences, stairs, and the like), it is LIKELY that I'll be able to figure out a way to render those blocks in 1.8 with little to no customization required.
i'm glad I could help jump start dynmap, and I caught most of what you said but since i'm not a coder I couldn't wrap my head around it lol. but I do understand the complexity of code changes and such.

Hey mike, it's awesome to see Dynmap going strong. It's one of my favorite mods/plugins of all time
Today I downloaded the forge version for our new TFC server and I noticed that the link on https://github.com/webbukkit/dynmap still points to the bukkit forum which then points here. Perhaps it would be more convenient to point to this thread directly?

For the Nether, is there any option to "cut" rendering at a given "Y" coordinate?
I'm wishing to be able to render the Nether only from Y=0 to Y=75 for example. That would improve the general view of the map IMO.
Thanks
