Is this still a thing in 1.9.2? I want to use this on my vanilla server.
not on the list in the OP so i very much doubt it, to be quite honest from what i can tell the 1.7.10 versions are useless too due to being built against such an ancient version of FML, i had hoped maybe someone could give an official answer on that though, i guess not.
Anyone have any idea how to drop this mod down to it's bare bones? I unfortunately have limited HDD space. I want to disable maps for Nether and The End. I also want to disable all the 3d maps. We just want to use this map for general location purposes using the flat map option. The render quality doesn't have to be super high either. I currently have it set to lowres.
I just don't remember how to configure the plugin so that it won't show or render the 3d map styles.
does dynmap work fine with the latest forge 1.7.10 #1614? i ask because i've never seen the messages from it that dynmap has successfully started when the server loads.
edit, i think i found the problem the full version number for FML version i have to use (yes, have to, mods require 1614, not a choice) is "10.13.4.1614" and in the OP it states it's used with forge version 10.13.2.xxxx, can anyone confirm/deny?
second bump for response, is a month honestly an acceptable turnaround time to answer a question of all things? lazy modder.
How do I integrate mod blocks into dynmap's isometric render for minecraft 1.8.9? I have looked at the wiki but I can't find any answers on what to do for 1.8.9.
If the mod works on 1.7.10 you can use the mod scraper on 1.7.10 and mod the files to make them "Work" but some mods don't exist in 1.7.10 so will we get a new mod scrapper or something
Folks, I appear to have a problem. I'm hoping someone can help me resolve it.
— I run a private server on KCauldron-1.7.10-1614.175-server, with a custom pack of about 100 mods including DynMap 2.1-forge-1.7.10. A few months ago, I had reason to do a full world regeneration because of an increasing amount of missing resources from added mods that didn't do retrogen or didn't do it properly. Of course, chunks didn't always necessarily regenerate exactly the way they had the first time. This left me with an extensive world map which wasn't actually accurate any more. There were ugly map breaks at the edges where re-explored post-regen terrain met stale map tiles from pre-regen terrain which had not yet been re-explored.
For this and other reasons, I've been looking for a long time for a mod or plugin or ... anything to let me automatically pre-generate and load large areas of the world. There were three principal motivations: Make the world map match the actual terrain again, get all of the lag of worldgen for the "known world" area of the map out of the way all at once, and give players an extensive mapped "known world" that they could look at to choose interesting locations where they wanted to go and build their bases and found towns.
I finally found one, UHC Chunk Preloader, a Bukkit plugin. It's buggy, and leaks gigabytes of memory, but it works. I've spent the past two days pre-generating a 6000-block radius around the world spawn of my primary overworld, and a 3000-block radius around the world spawn of the other overworld (yes, I have two overworlds because the second is generated using ATG).
With those large land areas generated, I now set to remapping everything with dynmap. I ran a dynmap purgequeue, dynmap purgeworld on each world, and I have now started a dynmap fullrender on the first overworld.
...Which is where things go wrong, because dynmap seems to be only mapping chunks that had been re-explored in person PRIOR to the Great Pre-Generation. There are 141,381 region files — not chunks, regions — in my Caer overworld and 35,723 in Alternia. DynMap rendered only 15,637 tiles for Caer flat. That can't possibly be right ... can it?
I want DynMap to go and map ALL of the chunks that have been auto-pre-generated. Not just the ones that have been re-explored by players since I regenerated the world. And I don't understand why 'dynmap fullrender' isn't doing it.
What am I missing? Or what don't I know about DynMap and how it interacts with Minecraft?
Update: Looking at my region files and the way my map is developing, I'm beginning to suspect that UHC ChunkPreloader may have actually loaded only a single chunk per region. Which, not to put too fine a point on it, is not what it was claimed to do.
WiNeTel, 'dynmap fullrender Caer' on the server console.
MooterMouse, thanks for the pointer, I'll take a look at WorldBorder. Looking at the bukkitdev page, I presume I could use it to pre-fill a certain portion of the map, then remove the plugin to remove the border while leaving the filled map?
...actually, better yet, I can just tell the plugin to remove the border. Cool! Giving this a try.
MooterMouse, so far, according to its reports, WorldBorder is doing a FAR better job than ChunkPreloader did, and without ChunkPreloader's ridiculous multi-gigabyte memory leaks. Thank you again for the pointer.
Hey Mike.
Are there any plans to update the WorldEdit addon for dynmap? Beside taking it's toll on the servers tps atm it would be great to have some way of desiding which regions to show when you click on a region inside another region.
I THINK, not sure but I THINK that you need to use the addons for worldguard and factions and such and enable viewing of region names or something to that effect, but once again, I THINK, so I might possibly be wrong.

I'm trying to find time to get to it - new job, very little spare time and energy right now :<
I have craftbukkit 1.9 and dynmap prerelease 2.3-alpha1
with dynmap installed it will random crash the server.
I was was able to reproduce this by using frost walker enchant hand walk on the ocean for about 1-4mins
i believe when dynmap try's and draw a new 1.9 block it cash the sever to freeze. Like frost whic isn't ice block

Thanks for your time.
You can use the commands that are on the wiki to disable each map you don't want.
The commands on the wiki aren't exactly easy to follow.
I will pay anyone 10$ to setup dynmap for me, i am too busy and the config looks like ****...

Not sure about UHC ChunkProloader, but WorldBoarder with it's Dynmap integration and fill command works great.
