I've looked through this thread and surprisingly don't see a similar question.
I've been using Dynmap for a couple years. As another recent post noted, it looks like my Minecraft host has pruned some of my files so I lost some map detail. I have another host where I can save "unlimited" data, but rather than tile files I'd rather use MySQL storage. I'm in the process of downloading over 150000 files.
The question is - is there an import utility to migrate files to mySQL? As a developer I can work out the details from the file data and schema, but it would be much easier if this already exists. If it does not exist, can someone point me to some specs so that I can create such a utility? (That's the FOSS model...)
Config:
Minecraft/Spigot 1.12.1 with Dynmap 2.5
MySql is on remote/hosted server - I expect some delay in traffic but my game server doesn't get much use and map delays aren't an issue.
EDIT: 160000 files > 2GB. I'm surprised my host didn't send me a warning ... not too surprised if they have just been deleting the older files...
This has been my favorite mod for ages. I recently started to play again in hopes there was some easier method to display other modpack blocks, which I do not believe there is.
Is there a script or additional mod that can generate me some of the work for the missing textures? Anything would be lovely. I'd hate to not use this mod, but manually defining hundreds of blocks is going to take me ages.
Hi, how can I lower the resolution of the tiles that are rendered? I tried changing it myself in the main configuration file, but my server crashes everytime I try to change it. Thanks!
I finally got the rending start now it is taking over 24 hours. I found some commands to cancel the render and I started a full render, every few seconds a message is sent to chat progress is at 493200 tiles how long will this take, since it lags the server a little?
rending taking over 24 hours and no new chunks appear. Need to know how to reset or fix. I'm running on Spigot 1.12.2
best suggestion I can come up with is completely remove the pre rendered images from the server (either delete them or move them somewhere safe) then once they are gone try a full render again.

Hi guys. Can anyone tell me if its possible to change the layer order within Dynmap? Right now I have the worldguard layer going over the factions layer resulting in not being able to click on the faction claims. I would love the faction claims layer to sit on top of the worldguard layer so people can click on either.

Is there a shader other than "default" that will render nether worlds as if it's daytime in the overworld? Even using "shadows," not "nethershadows," the world is totally dark.
That might be an extremely large file, I'm fairly sure you can only load places players have been and/or placed blocks, depending on your settings. The Panel to the right should locate where online players are with co-ords in the left top, again according to settings.

If you use a chunk pre-generating script or mod and then do /dynmap fullrender it'll render every single chunk that has been generated.
Keep in mind a lot of pre-generation doesn't generate surface structure such as trees in some cases, so it'll just be topographical.
Hey we used to run Dynamap on our server a few years ago and we really liked it but it (as well as a ton of other mods we had) caused some lag and we were forced to get rid of it. Im just wondering but is there a way to setup dynamap without it updating the image constantly and instead just taking a picture of the world every hour or so (or even just at our daily restart). This way we could have a server map without the constant drain on the server.

there is a way to slow down the updates in settings, possibly shut them off completely and load the picture only when you want, there are also ways to set up the updates to only occur when certain things happen in game. I'm still tweaking a lot of my settings to fix my lag too and still not entirely sure which settings work best for me but I believe the settings you need are all in there (configuration.exe).

I hope there is some light in this tunnel.'
Will this ever be compatible with Better Together?

Is a 1.12.2 version planned? This is the only mod that is preventing me from updating my pack, and thus, map to that version of MC.
Hi there, is it posible to get this working for MCPE / Bedrock / Windows 10 edition?
Or are you guys working on a way to get it working on MCPE?
I know there is MCPE VIZ what works nicely. But it doesnt have 3d vieuw and some other things.
Like not live and stuff..
Or maybe you guys could work someting out together?

We use MyWarp but all the warps are showing up on dynmap, including the private ones. Is there a way to hide private warps from dynmap?

@mikeprimm, Any chance you could update your Dynmap plugin/mod for Grief Prevention and make it work in the Sponge/Forge environment?

Can you please fix black concrete?

Or tell us how to fix it?
This site's rules are too strict.
Can someone please help me get Et Futurum's Grass Path blocks to work wtih DynmapModScraper?
I've tried everything I could and even attempted to recreate it as just a normal block, but nothing.
The block is as high as Soul Sand. How do I get this to work?
They just appear as black squares on the DynMap.
Hey
Is there any way to load the entire minecraft map from the web and then search for a player or a faction and know its location?
Thanks :3

Is it possible to use dynmap in vanilla Minecraft Realms?
