I've found a issue. When using a 1.6.4 map in 1.7.2 dynmap stops rendering any blocks. It will still display mobs, homes, claimed areas and player locations it just won't render the map any more. Is there a way to fix this short of starting a whole new map (again)? I'm using bukkit 1.7.2-r02 Beta with dynmap 1.9.1 as well as 50 other plugins. I've already checked for conflicts and found a fresh map always works.

Is Dynmap officially updated to 1.7.2? There was a lot of fundamental changes, if it's not updated then I know exactly why it isn't working.
Dynmap seems to use block IDs to map what texture goes where. In 1.7, IDs changed and no longer exist as ints (numbers), so therefore your 1.6 copy of Dynmap will have no idea what to render where in a 1.7 world
Just a guess anyway. I assume Dynmap uses IDs for mapping, don't know for sure but it does in the Forge version.
There are so many thing's I'm going to do once all of the documentation is up to date!
I shall update/add ALL THE THINGS*.
*mod support
Please do!! Just grabbed the 1.6.4 Direwolf20 FTB pack and have 72 .pngs from 4 mods (Thermal Expansion, Extra Utilities, TConstruct, and Biomes O Plenty) that are not found.
I saw the Renderdata you posted for Biomes but it doesn't fix this, I'd love to edit these things myself but I simply don't have any idea where to look for the correct locations or how to do the edits.
its the right world, i can see myself moving around in it.. but it never renders for what reason ever.
a static map of the world: http://pia.hopto.org/HMMP.jpg
hope anyone has an idea... its pain to manually update the cart every now and then..
(plus dynmap looks way cooler..)
i just aborded the old rendering (did not change any number, and restartet it. slightly different numbers, but same result.. somehow it looks, like dynmap "freezes" on loading chunks? (loaded=69, attempted=127)?
Fix world name mapping - make MCPC+ consistent with Bukkit and vanilla Forge: fixes Bukkit plugins on MCPC+
Add support for h+v and v+h Connected Texture Mod methods
Add support for loading model/texture definition files from mods: *-models.txt and *-texture.txt can be mod-supplied
Improve error handling on numeric command parameters
Add API for mods to dynamically publish block rendering descriptions to Dynmap
Fix packed ice rendering (should not be transparent)
Update TConstruct files to not break on DW20 version (1.4.2.1)
Fix rendering of top half of 1.7.2 tall flowers (needed custom renderer)
Add updated color schemes - sphax, dokuhigh, dokulight, dokudark, misa, etc.
Update colorschemes for 1.7.2
Update Jetty to 8.1.14.v20131031, improve URL normalization
Switch glass pane / iron fence type blocks to use new pane renderer
Update Railcraft support for v8 blocks backported to v7.3
Fix mapping of 1.6 cobblestone texture to pre 1.6 renders
Notes:
The world name mapping change may require folks with MCPC+ to re-render their maps for worlds other than the primary one (or, alternately, to copy the corresponding rendered directory under 'tilespath' to the new world name). This was needed to fix problems with Bukkit plugin compatibility (particularly with markers not showing on non-primary worlds). New installs on vanilla Forge will use a compatible scheme, but existing installs on Forge will maintain the legacy mapping (unless you delete the forgeworlds.yml file).
Also, due to a memory leak in CraftBukkit 1.7.2, do NOT use any version of Dynmap on CraftBukkit versions before the 1.7.2R0.2 beta (#2974), or the equivalent Spigot version (#1200, I believe).
I have a question. How do you install dynmap to use SQL so it doesn't take up so much data on the server side. I have a host that monitors that and doesn't allow more than 10GB of data for plugins. They do not monitor SQL though so I'd like to use that but not sure how to force dynmap to move to SQL and use that to store the data. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you

Documentation seems to have changed on how to remove caves and 3d version of maps. I also cannot see how to remove certain maps from showing on the webpage
I have some issues with MCPC+ (Forge) 1.6.4 and DynMap. I've installed DynMap into the Mod Folder, the Bridge Plugin and Worldguard and Essentials Plugins into the Plugins Folder. WorldBorder is used for filling. Multiverse manages my Maps. So far so good...
I was wondering why DynMap just Shows up the Players and Spawn Points but never any Region, Mobs, Beds or something like that.
I found out, that this issue is related by the the internal renaming of the maps with the suffixes ("world_36" instead of "world" for example).
I renamed all my maps within the config files of DynMap and... voila: Regions, Mobs, Home, Beds and alls the other things. BUT(!!!) no textures and Terrain anymore! Just black Screens with Mob heads, regions...
So... how to prevent this?
Why is Dynmap renaming the Worlds internally?
Is there a Workaround?
Sorry for my bad english, I hope you understand what I mean...
Our server is on an ip that is ip:port because if you put the ip it is another server so how would I connect. Sorry if has already been said.
I get this in the command log.
13:50:16 [SEVERE] [dynmap] Failed to start WebServer on address ip:8123 : Address already in use
Sorry but for safety I replaced the ip and port with ip:port
If you've already got another server, with dynmap, running (and you haven't changed the default dynmap port) then 8123 will already be taken, as it states in the error. You'll need to change it to something else in the configuration.txt file.
All assets for ProjectRed mod and Sub mods seem to be in the ProjectRedBase,
but that might change why have all textures for sub mods you might not use in the base and not directly in the sub mods themselves.

The most common texture needed to be mapped is marble, it's used to make marble, marble walls, marble bricks, marble brick walls.
I have no clue how to do the model files I see you made in renderdata.
I have no clue either how to do the stuff under all the texture mappings in your texture renderdata files.
If I knew how to do it, I would of posted that also so you could correct mistakes and put it in your next DynMap release.
Well I could of done it but I was like blahhh lol.
Keep up the good work on the DynMap Project.
Forge DynMap makes you work for it since client side mods with different textures.
Bukkit DynMap on the other hand is like all vanilla textures so less of a pain.
There is a setting, i believe in the maps portion to set the height rendered. Default is 65 i believe.
I set minimumheight to 133 (it's where we put the spawn) and maximumheight to like 512 to make sure we are rendering above that but it appears to be still rendering below 128 instead of above

i tried versions since dynmap 1.8 all the time im just having a black map or red, when i switch the view to nether.
currently running the

also tried the recommended, but getting the same results as ever since..
The server is an gentoo linux box, with amd octo 4ghz cpu, 32gb ram, 3 sdd's in raid 1, currently only minecraft running on it.

Machines and so on are in another mod now.
Figure I would give you a head start.

Thanks.
Does anyone know how I can render above the nether bedrock ceiling? One of my staff members is making a little event up there.
I set minimumheight to 133 (it's where we put the spawn) and maximumheight to like 512 to make sure we are rendering above that but it appears to be still rendering below 128 instead of above
