You should add a magical wand that works like the mining laser in IC2. And I know most people will think this is a bad idea, but only your opinion matters.
I actually kinda like this idea.
Perhaps this can be a pseudo-replacement for the destruction catalyst (which ate EMC as its fuel).
As long as its doesn't mine great heaping chunks of blocks per shot, and drains enough EMC, it could be perfectly balanced.
Especially given the new range of EMC types, so perhaps make it use 'ESSENTIA' and 'AMORPHOUS' EMC to mine blocks (at a sane mining speed).
And alternatively make it use 'VOID' EMC to just remove blocks (no block drops, but you can clear an area much faster).
Perhaps even throw in another function (upgraded wand perhaps?) that uses 'KINETIC' EMC to pull item and block drops in the immediate vicinity towards you.
I wish Pahimar had just stopped with EE2 and retired the name, then later announce a new project with a new name, he would have had complete freedom to show us his vision, without being hindered by the legacy of EE2

He doesn't hate us. He took condensers out becuase they didn't add any challenge to the game. It was just something that made the game way too easy. All people would do is work on getting a condenser flower as fast as they could becuase it was nothing more then a duplicating item that had no real cost after you made your first flower. Using light to duplicate items has no challenge what so ever and even made the game boring. I'm glad they are gone and I look forward to what new challenges will come in the future of this mod.
If you don't agree with what I said think about this. I can get a fully working mk1 condenser flower running in less then an hour. Thats just by using EE2 on its own. I think that is just too easy to make something that will generate an endless supply of diamonds let alone any block or item thats in the game. If someone focused on just this then all the other mods that people play with in a mod pack or even in a personal collection of mods would know that getting a condenser flower started would just remove all the fun out of any mod that you would use along side EE2. That why EE3 is here to help bring back the challenge and the fun that the mod first had.
People do realize that since EE3 is completely open source that if they do not agree with certain things being taken out that they, you know, can just add it back in themselves with a bit of work, right?

I don't know if this has been suggested before (and honestly i haven't got the time to do more than a perfunctory search check to find out- the result was negative), but has the use of alchemical arrays in world, perhaps to create structures, golems, walls or multi part machines such as the water tanks from railcraft?
For instance, using a particular array in combination with red water and energy would get you a lesser philosopher stone (not sure what the new names for these are or which would be appropriate for this circumstance), a different array supplied with the necessary materials might create a machine that allows for the breakdown of objects into their component alchemical elements. Another might create a wall that uses all of the supplied material in it's composition. yet another might store alchemical energy (until the array is broken, then it explodes) and supply other machines or arrays with energy.
From a coding standpoint, i suspect it might be too difficult to implement but it is something i would like to see.
Any chance of an armor piercing weapon? I primarily use EE in Tekkit and I've found that though RM armor (which is being removed) is cooler that Quantum, there's no EE equivalent to the nano saber. This is a problem for mages. Any chance of an armor piercing weapon in EE3? Maybe a cool scythe or something?

Pahimar has said it will not happen, but that there will be other, much cooler stuff in EE3 that won't be unbalanced. This is more than building 4 Full Level beacons out of diamond blocks. A full set of Red Matter Armor is worth ap. 15 Of those beacons

Well I take my hat off to Pahimar for making these changes, EE2 is overpowered and takes the mine out of minecraft and he knows it, hence the changes.
Once you have your condenser and collectors you just sit or stand there and do nothing whilst stuff magics up from sunlight. Server owners quickly became aware that enabling EE2 killed the lifespan of player longevity and thus came the cropping of EE2/collectors/condensers from servers.
I whole heartedly agree with the changes Pahimar is making and bringing the life back into playability, bravo sir.

Your use of bold and huge font sizes to emphasis your point certainly detract from your argument in my eyes, seeing as it is the equivalent of just shouting really loudly as if volume makes the point more apparent.
Let's round up and say 17 hours of gameplay (it was specifically timed for this in EE2 just so you know) with full light (accomplished with glowstone). That's great in SSP where you are standing in place, but in SMP the chunks are loaded all the time and the server is (presumably) on 24/7. You start a world, and the next day it is obsolete and you are Gods. That isn't OP to you? It's certainly a nightmare for server admins (which is why turning things off and removing things were the number 1 request I got in EE2).
They aren't coming back as they were in EE2; and apparently you guys can't read that the mechanics will be different but similar.
Patience is a virtue that you should strive for.

two words: Chunk loader. aka: it's *horribly* broken on servers as one just sets up one collector and one condenser and bam, creative mode given the server runs all the time.
in other (actually revelvent) news: noticed something about the minimum stone: it doesn't get damaged when used in a BC auto-crafting table. Neither the one in the table or the placeholder in the chest does.

I love the pre-release, and I can't wait for redwater, that will just be awesome! All the new aditions will just make this mod so epic!
