Is it the debug thing that is making NEI searches slower? I'm using the build Pahimar tweeted and build 39 fixed it but it's back again with build 50. Since your build is is the same (or close enough) code it does make me wonder.
I was wondering this too. I'm getting about 0.5 - 1 second lag when I do NEI searches since going to Pahimar's 0.1.50.
Some Translation updates. More Code Optimization. More EMC Values.. Fixing the Tooltip being "debug," now it activates on holding shift. Added the Research Station. Don't need to shift click to put a glass bell on an aludel base anymore.
Lluihxi's version is consistently quicker. (tested) I don't know if it's the debug mode, though, all I can do is give you a name. I assume it IS debug mode, because Wliu's version states that "Debug is on," and it also says that it's otherwise the same as Lluihxi's. It's one page back from here, about 4 messages from the bottom of the page.
Thanks for the tip--his build fixed the problem. :-)
All builds from now on should have the NEI bug fixed. pahimar removed the tooltips being activated by the debug value (which is usually on), and it's now activated by SHIFT (left or right, doesn't matter).
Shortlog: Add Alchemical Chest, Alchemical Fuel, Aludel, Calcinator, Chalk Block, Glass Bell, and Research Station to Creative Tab individually. Add Infused Cloth, Infused Ore, Infused Stone, and Infused Wood. (No pictures yet, and very work in progress). Rename Iridescent Dust to Shimmering Dust. Add some Aludel Recipe Framework (Uses Dust to create items).

Shortlog: Remove Infused Ore and Infused Stone. Got rid of Shimmering/Iridescent Dust. Added Infused Planks. Made Infused Planks, Infused Wood, and Infused Cloth infusable with Verdant, Azure or Minium Dust in the Aludel.
Shortlog: Condensed the Alchemical Chest code with the Magic of Classes. Added alchemical chest recipes, added recipes using infused planks and infused wood.

Chest recipe finally? going to check that out now...I hate cheating things in and have yet to use one. I hope the recipe is on NEI.

I thought the Minium Shards were supposed to be dropped from mobs.
The plan was to have some process from red water to make minium shards and the mod drops were a temporary thing until Pahimir figured out some other process.

If you are satisfied and do what you feel you must do, no matter what that is... then you have reached perfection. -Metamoq, Corwid of the Free
How do the aludels, alembics, research tables, chalk, etc. work?
All of those are a work in process. The only one that works is the Calcinator, which gives you dust based on the EMC value of what ever item you're calcinating. For example, Diamond has the game EMC value as Minium Dust, so you'll get Minium Dust by calcinating Diamond.
Make sure you are using builds from post #5632 onwards or this build from pahimar's Twitter.

You'll need to be more specific.
MINIUM SHARDS NO LONGER DROP FROM MOBS. Prepare for a new way to get minium shards. Either that or we're back into a no-functionality era again.
