just to ask this was the mod from tekkit that had the chest thing that let you turn 1 item into another right? if so where is it as I muse millnare and need a way to get a lot of cobble/sandstone/smooth stone.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack

This mod lets you turn one to another. It has very limited use. Hovewer this isn't the mod that was in tekkit. It was Equivalent Exchange 2 from Xenophobe and was maintaned by pahimar. Pahimar created EE3 from a scrach as an open source. This mod is a succsessor to EE2 and it is still heavly in development. More features to come.
Also, a special treat: http://osrc.dfm.io/pahimar (I love how I'm somehow mentioned in there XD)
Now we'll have something else to show people who say pahimar doesn't do anything!
While I may completely misunderstand this single word exclamation (writing that out... I somehow don't doubt it..) You do realize that I had made the "EDIT:" post after the other single word post was made right?
Do you suppose this guy is a Fullmetal Alchemist fan?
As I learned during the argument about Pahimar's avatar, you can't always tell a person's interests by their pic (what they say, or what they do... long argument, read the link in my previous post).
What they said, but I hsould also point out that, NO this is NOT that mod... this is the next iteration of the ideas in that mod. There is a difference. If this were that mod then all the whining we see from people complaining about 'how long this mod is taking' and 'how feature less this mod is', would be legitimate complaints. I come back to this example a lot. Think about Halflife and Halflife 2. Halflife 2 had less than half the levels of HalfLife, but the technology (graphics, physics, etc) boost was massive. The Sims, the Sims 2, the Sims 3. MOST games would have included -constructs- from their previous iteration's expansion packs in the initial version of the next iteration... Sims 2 (and 3) were missing pets. Sims 2 didn't have gardening initially (or am I remembering that, speaking of vanilla, no expansions), but Sims 3 did. EA milked us for all out monies by waiting to reintroduce concepts placed as minor features in expansions of the previous game's iterations. (God only knows what they will remove when Sims 4 comes out...)
This iteration of Equivalent Exchange is missing things BECAUSE it is still in early development. Yes, it's been <insert time frame here> but unlike many devs and certainly game/application developer's he has a JOB that he has to do while also programming. (Don't yell at me, game/application development IS a JOB, but it is their ONLY job... they aren't doing it on the side as a hobby, which is my argument...)
So, yes, things are missing here from what was in EE in Technic... but they'll make their return (see the post starting this thread for confirmation--somewhere around EAQs, if memory serves...) when he gets around to it, and that will only be after the things that they require are developed because unlike many idiot devs (who add blocks as 'frosting'--there's another phrase for that...-that have no functionality, and then add the functions later... it's so unprofessional...)
Ok, gonna say one last thing and end this "wall 'o text"...
Kids, don't always take what your teachers/professors say on faith. Look it up. The professor I have for one class, a great and interesting guy-who often goes off on tangents-has said a LOT of things, much of which I have gone "what? That can't be right..." and looked up. Two examples: "The sun will end in 800 years." Looked it up, NASA's website: more than 1,000,000,000 years. He said "Etc" or "et cetera" means, "I can't think of anything else." which, I thought was right, because I had heard from at least two other sources (one that taught languages, one that took Latin) that etc doesn't mean what we use it as... Looked it up... EACH website either doesn't have it (either etc. abbreviation, OR et cetera, or 'etcetera'-in case I misspelled the first) OR defined it as EXACTLY what he said it didn't mean...
Oh, damn, this reminded me that I still needed to find out who the Latin professor (at a different college) is so I can ask an expert what it actually means.
Finally, the irony, the professor I'm speaking about actually spoke to the class about verifying sources... It was a longer conversation than simply saying 'verifying sources' conveys... but still.
P.S. if that professor is here and reads this. I mean no offense or disrespect... but, seriously, any good college student will check and verify the truth or accuracy of something that sounds wrong to them. I'm just trying to be a good citizen by informing everyone regardless of educational level that they should do the same... it's like that story you told us, about the nurse who gave fake credentials and was only ever caught because she threw herself a party and invited the newspaper... if people verify sources that <censored> won't happen again.
P.S. Moderators, is swearing allowed in spoiler tags? I just checked the rules and while it says, very clearly, 'self censoring is not allowed' and 'This includes abbreviated curse words and profanity within acronyms' I've seen so many examples of that being abused-and not caught or punished-that I really cannot tell. Just a curiosity.
Actually, I just read the lines beneath it, and a LOT of the rules are broken, frequently... Heck, I just quoted some in this post... e.g. Spam's "this" (as a simplistic 'one word' example of spam). Bumping (elsewhere). And I'll cite any other violations I notice in a 'more appropriate' location...
We now return you to your regularly scheduled yelling at one another.

It's actually been very quiet lately, it's kinda nice. I may be wrong but I like to think most people have figured this out or are being distracted by Cube World.
I hope this gets fleshed out for pre2 soon. In that version you can have infinite philosopher stone power and also a crafting recipe for it!
Here is some proof if you are skeptical

Wow still haven't added anything new from when you removed dark matter, red matter and those awesome rings and much more. Seriously even now? Come on I thought you guys were awesome now I think that you aren't awesome. And ee3 is as chat as cont!
Might be missing something here but where does it mention anything about infinite P stone power? The video you posted is over a year old showing outdated mechanics. I think in that version the P stone might not of even had durability added to it at that point. Forgive me If I'm missing something. Would be nice to get an infinite source one for sure
In fact I think the durability was added to stop you from making infinite diamond machine like in the video.
I believe the proof you're looking for was in Pahimar's development blog, which says he is adding a different way to get the minium stone and giving the philosopher's stone a recipe. We assume the philosopher's stone will be infinite because that is how it was before and there wouldn't be much point having the minium stone as well as the philosopher's stone if it wasn't much better.
For clarification on this point, and/or Pahimar's avatar see: http://www.minecraft...0#entry22316284

Edit: not proof of recipe. but it was stated in his pahimar ee3 development site here

Ooh, development's picking up in the "tangible" parts of the mod. I'll feel good with a divining rod and an infinite philosopher's stone again.
Your welcome
Indeed. Even a divining rod is a wonderful tool to have.
I'm loving this. =P
