is it possible to make the portrait not display any overhead info like names or debug values?
Well, it is, but causes some issues with some mod mobs. This was the old way, but caused some problems, so now I let the mob go through the full render process, unfortunately, this means that additional rendering can be done if designed that way.
For some reason this mod lags my game like HELL. I get 15 fps every time I install it. Most of the time I stay at 60 with vsync on. ANy solution?
Are you using the latest version, early 1.5.1 versions had a lag issue that was resolved. I couldn't recreate any noticeable frame rate drop on my laptop after fixing the problem.
Is there other way to change the skin then? Because i like a lot the dragon one (Skyrim?)
No, the dragon skin did not return until 1.5.1
I believe version 2.4.2 had the dragon skin however. This is for 1.4.7. I can't guarantee there will not be bugs using an outdated addition however.
Using latest version, even got the newest version of forge. Fresh install, 15 fps. Is this compatible with Rei's Minimap? I think that may be the problem.
EDIT: Is this mod CPU intensive? Because I noticed a significant increase in CPU usage when using this mod. Just now I used nothing but Forge and this mod and still 15 fps average. I have a CPU average of 60% while using this mod, which is more than I usually get, which is 30-45% playing vanilla.
Maybe it's just my CPU? I have an AMD FX 4100, which isn't the greatest of CPUs, but it gets the job done nicely. Just curious if this would effect my experience, that's all.

It's possible, parts of the mod are multithreaded, perhaps this is a performance loss for older cpus? I'll test. Thanks for the info.
Much appreciated. I like what this mod does, but at this rate, it just makes my game unplayable. Looking forward to a future optimization, if possible!

If you can, try disabling parts of the mod and see if it helps. Like try disabling the portrait, then the popoffs. Let me know if doing this fixes the problem.

i have rei's minimap and optifine and i get a good 45-60 fps so i dont see any mod incompatibilities that you have brought up... i would suggest optifine if you dont already use it as it boost fps greatly
I'll look into this. Probably world corruption(entity corruption) Is the log spammed with 'EntityWhatever is in the wrong location! '?
Yogscraft is 1.4.7 as far as i know. Changing skins within the gui is a recent addition.
where is the log located
In your .minecraft folder, outside the mods folder.
Where would this log be located?

Can we see a log?
