Just goes to show you how quick people jump on the moment to criticize All those first posts were posted within the first 5 minutes while I was still assembling my thread. None of them even clicked my profile to see that I was obviously a legit modder. But this is the internet, so you should expect as much.
Have to agree with you on this, on almost every single modding thread there's at least one "NO PICS NO CLICKS" comment, it's kinda sad.

Many players in the server where I play loved your mod, but it does not work in SMP.
Please make it work in multiplayer.
Please! Pleease!
Impossible, the default server does not send the required packets. A server can add this mod to the mod list and it will provide players with damage indicators installed the required packets to function, everyone else will be unaffected.
Could you add some sort of full bright feature for the numbers? So they wouldn't be affected by lightning even in deep caves, they tend to be hard to see at night and in caves.

New update! No more graphical glitches(randomly black digits) and now all digits are full bright. Currently changing around a few things, so in this release, translucent digits is disabled.
I know you've mentioned this already but I just have to add my support for the suggestion of a health bar. I love rpg's, and if I could play minecraft more accurately as an adventure map using this mod I would do so... wait, I already am
I think you should consider the implications of mods such as zeldacraft especially when thinking about adding the health bar.
Also, have you thought about adding something similar on the experience orbs that will bounce up just on the HUD at the bottom? possibly with an overlay of the experience for leveling up somewhere on the bar?
(apologies for this bad ascii, it's supposed to be the HUD)
excellent little tweak, much room for improvement too, this could be the definitive rpg adventure mode addon.
keep up the good work!
People have done this already, and I may make a future mod like this in the future, but not this mod. This mod will stay the tweak it is, and I may make a couple more tweaks similar. The idea is to keep each feature as separate modules, so one can add just the features they want.

Awesome! It's really great to see the damage information, especially useful when using mods that add a huge load of new sword types such as Metallurgy 2

Since this mod is in a stable and final condition, daily updates will no longer occur in favor of cumulative updates. Because of this, I am providing an update check on start up that will tell you if a new version is available. You can pick up 1.0.7 here.
I could add that as an option in the config, would just take a second. Currently you can set the text color anything you want, open up the config and see what you can already do.
What config file? I don't see no config file...
EDIT: Also when i get on my single-player or multiplayer... It says the mods up to date, I even went back to the website and downloaded it again and it still says it. Plus it does not show up on multiplayer.

.minecraft\config\DamageIndicatorsMod.cfg
This is where 90% of mod's configs go.
Mine is generated the first time you run the mod.
It can't show up on multiplayer, the server does not send the required packets, it is impossible. However, the damage indicator mod can drop into a forge server and all the players on that server will have the damage indicators if they too have the mod.
Damage Indicators [1.4.2]v1.0.8 released. A few more settings now in the config file. Old configs should be fine, only after the first run, youll see more settings to change. Descriptions are in the config.

Can you post pictures? I can not recreate this. Also, do you have the newest version?
