Woot, now i will be able to use Steam tanks ! You rock sir XD
As in Railcraft Steam Tanks? If so, CJ has this guy beat, you don't(or at least according to the wiki page shouldn't) need wooden pipes to extract the steam, as they output steam into pipes just fine, so gold is perfect for pumping steam even from the boiler itself. Unless you mean using Iron Tanks to hold just steam. In which case, yeah, this is pretty handy(which is why I'll be using it, even if I know that ABO is still updating on a dev page).

He meant the latter. This pipe was born out of talking about iron tanks holding steam in the railcraft thread.
I was happy to see ABO was still being worked on, but the current version is lacking valves which is my most used out of the bunch.
Just posted a new version with two new pipes: Cobblestone Gold Waterproof Pipe and Stone Gold Waterproof Pipe. These pipes behave like Stone and Cobblestone pipes in that they won't connect to pipes that aren't the same, but they have the flow rate and capacity of gold waterproof pipes.
These pipes should make Steam Boiler setups MUCH more compact.
I had mentioned in the Railcraft thread my urge to use the excess steam i was getting from boilers. After filling up a 9x9x8 Iron tank with steam i ran across the problem of getting it back out. Wooden pipes simply cannot extract it from a tank fast enough to power even one turbine. "Enter Denoflions" Now i can store the excess into a tank and run more turbines off of it. 4 turbines per High pressure boiler with at least 1 gold pipe feeding a tank (might be possible to get more have not checked how many it can pull and still keep max steam) Either way i can have a boiler section and pump all my steam into tank section to feed turbines!!!!
His new pipes just cut my cost / pipe maze down considerably =D
6gold pipes before, with mod total of 12 pipes off of one side, you can take another 12 off any other side and attach it. (however after 22 gold pipes pulling from a High pressure boiler it starts to lose steam.

That's pretty sweet. I knew it wouldn't take long before someone figured out the optimal setup for high pressure once they had some non-suck pipes to do it with.

1.4.2 version of all my mods coming this weekend.
nice, looks good so far.
Though i'm wondering one thing: is there a buildcraft version for 1.4.2 out already? i'm not seeing one yet there's that above and an updated NEI plugin already.
You can compile BC for yourself and it works so far but no official pre or releases are out for 1.4.2 but I think they are coming this weekend or at least next week
This is awesome, so many places I can save space now. Could we get a Iron Gold Pipe for both Liquid and Normal? Then I could get rid of the bottlenecks.

As a suggestion: A high-volume pipe? LIke 'Reinforced Gold Pipe' which eats up gold blocks (instead of gold ingots) to allow higher volume output?
I'd like to pump massive quantities of steam from my boiler along a single line, then have secondary lines splitting off of that for all of my base's engines. I suppose it would also be of use to those who would wish to use a Turbine without needing four separate pipes.
Mad props for stone/gold and cobblestone/gold waterproof pipes, by the way. This would indeed make snaking all the pipes much easier.

Maybe. I'll think about it. I'm doing 1.4.2 ports tomorrow, so I'll think about new pipes afterward.

Den Pipes
This is a small addon for Buildcraft the implements various pipes that aid in making builds smarter and more compact.
THIS MOD REQUIRES denLib.

Always good to get a nod from one of the big modders.

Ask and you shall receive.
Edit: New version posted. Added Automatic Wooden Pipe (wood pipe with built in redstone engine) and Sandstone Gold Waterproof Pipe.
I'll see what I can do.
