That's because the build server got broken by one of the developers and it's pushing out broken builds. It'll be fixed soon.

Anyway, the question I had to ask was about the hives / hive nodes / Queen etc.
I've seen videos where the Xenos will dig into the rock, the hives will expand, more aliens will grow etc. But try as I might (I've TNTed so many caves and stuck a Queen in the middle), nothing happens. What can I do to trigger them to build a hive? Do they just do it naturally, if so how long do I have to wait? And does the Queen do anything, or is she just a bigger more powerful Xeno variant?

Does the Queen (and other variants) spawn naturally anywhere? In what conditions?

(This mod seriously needs a wiki or at least a page of deep explanation!)

The digging mechanic was removed, and hives only expand when a queen "owns" drones to expand the hive. Other variants act as weapons used by the queens, I believe. However, the xenos recently had their AI wiped, so I'm not sure how many of these mechanics work at the moment. As for the nodes, originally they would spawn in xenomorphs, but I'm not sure what they do right now, since the hive mechanics are planned to get improved later. Queens don't spawn naturally, and can only be made when a praetorian evolves into one after it has 100 kills. But its possible that once we get better generated structures, some might include a queen.

Xenomorphs never worked together. That's an entirely new thing that's being done in version 4.0.
