let me get my hands on it when my PC is fixed and it wont be simple any more
if its i PC i don't know if it will work since i have a mac or are you talking about another map if it is my map i would like a copy after your done and i can give you the save

I'm also building a pyramid and this is what I have so far. I started with a definite core, meaning it would be the same every time, with completely random tunnels and rooms thats shoot out from the center. Now I think that there could be different pyramid sizes, and that the smaller ones should be randomly generated. The larger ones, like the one TheLordTurret is working on should have moving walls and random passageways via red stone, this way we could still have a changing structure to confuse those who enter.

Cool pyramid and idea, but won't that be a lot of work for TLT
Really nice design, maybe I will even adapt some of the designs, I had similar plans, with some already existing doorways that would be closed via redstone commands

Well, I can live with that, I mostly did it for the tunneling aspects, but building it alerted me to some things.
1.) I really think we should have random structure generation, like strongholds, instead of prebuilt temples and hives. While building it I tried to make it as random as possible, so I would get lost eventually, I found that hard to achieve. I kept wondering that if we got pre-builts we'd just remember the pattern and take all the fun out of finding them away.
2.) The motion tracker is nearly impossible to use. Upping the difficulty made my tracker a white blob of light to the left of my screen. Its not really the trackers fault as it is the excess mobs. So if there's anyway to expel all of the creepers, skeletons, spiders, zombies, and bats (ESPECIALLY BATS) that would probably be preferable.
3.) Light goes right through the temple blocks. I was about 30 blocks down and it was still bright as day under the pyramid center, all the way to bedrock. I don't know if that was intentional or not but it messes up the lighting I was aiming for.
4.) This is just a request, could we get a new torch, maybe somewhere in between a red stone torch and a regular one, just one that would fit the setting or something, cause with what I have now its either too bright or too dim.

>For structures, I suggested something along the lines of Rougelike Dungeons. Each dungeon layout is randomly generated from one of several possible rooms or halls, then assembled at semi-random, just enough that it can get confusing and you can get lost easily and each dungeon isn't exactly alike, but not so random that rooms are intersecting each other and its impossible to navigate.
So, in short, there would be X rooms per structure to choose from, and each structure would choose some of those rooms to generate, making one hive/whatever be tiny, while some would be massive. However, I am fine with there only being one layout for the predator temples, just to preserve things like redstone traps.
>For motion trackers, that's how it was in the movies. The tracker could find any living creature through a wall, but it couldn't tell a xenomorph apart from a mouse. But for the mod, maybe two trackers would work-tier one would looks like the Alien or Alien Isolation tracker (as in much more basic and older-looking), and would function as-is, showing every mob without differentiation (cheaper but less reliable), while tier two would look like the current one, but could be configurable (maybe with the computer terminal?) to omit or only look for certain mobs (expensive but more reliable)
> Maybe something along the lines of an industrial cage light would work? Would look nice for Alien-Aliens-Alien:Isolation builds, where its more function over form, just barebones lighting. But yes, I would like a light like that, just bright enough that would could get a basic idea of the room, but still dark enough so that xenomorphs and whatnot could still hide in the shadows. I think there used to be a light like that in the mod, but it was eventually removed for some reason.

Was it your intention to have the Xenomorph Queen un-killable?

It's not in-kill-able. If you have an m56sg, it only takes 30 seconds.
