been away for a whole what's new to the latest versions post-4.0.0.822
Well first off we moved to 1.10.2, which will be the main development version until we port to 1.12.2. This means we will no longer support 1.7.10 and it will not get any new updates. Though content wise, we now have (as of 5.0.0.33)
New shaped block functionality. They're now called "Reflective Blocks" and they now work like Carpenter's Blocks (since it has no equivalent in 1.10.2). This it also means the creative tab is no longer a mess of shaped blocks.
8 new decorative blocks were added- 7 new padding-type blocks, inspired by Alien and Alien Isolation (the original padding block also got a facelift), as well as a new stone type, which I will get to in a sec...
Lv-426 got a much-needed makeover. The spires in that dimension now actually look like the ones from the films and they have a new block, which is the new stone type mentioned above. The dim is also 100% more spooky and foggy.
The Nostromo/Seegson flamethrower also got a makeover. Just look much better overall.
The lighting panels were *finally* fixed, and now create light when powered.
Similar to the above, a new type of light, a florescent tube, was added. These also need power, but can transmit power to adjacent blocks if they're touching its terminals.
A newer, smaller, and better-looking blastdoor type, also Isolation inspired. 2 wide vs the older 4 wide one.
Both types of blastdoors can now have passwords assigned to them as well as being made to auto-close using a new item, the Security Access Tuner. Both types also now have sounds.
Stun baton and the charge pack. Using the charge pack as "ammo", the stun baton can slow mobs hit by it as well as inflict diamond sword-level of damage. It also has some really nice FX
That's all for now, but we still have plenty of other things planned, such as the neomorphs, protomorphs, new weapons, and a new machine.

Both need to be inserted into the wristbracer. Hold the bracer and hit "e", this brings up the bracer's inventory. Place the blades in the first slot and the plasma caster in any of the other slots (doesn't matter). Hold "r" (I believe) to fire a shot, pressing and holding "r" charges a shot, which makes it more powerful, but also will give it a bigger cooldown between shots.
ok there are a TON of bugs in the game, the sound of the guns dont work, the blood causes lag, dead facehuggers and empty eggs are annoying, xeno praetorian's arms are still not where they should be, the alien warriors mouth dislocates when its not suppose to, I love this mod to death but it needs some serious polishing.

I'll fix bugs when I have time to, I am not obligated to work on this mod on-demand. It's a community project, so if you want bugs fixed so badly, go fix them.

I apologize, I was having a pretty stressful day. Piling the bugs up on top only made it worse, which is why I was snappy. The bugs will get fixed eventually, it just takes me much longer to fit time in to work on everything now.. The best thing you can do is submit the bugs on aliensvspredator.org in the beta program section for issues.

As of now, the goo does not mutate things. Before you mention the Ulandos video, he spawned in the mutants off-camera and just said the goo did it
Also as of now, the trilobites cannot impregnate anything, though we are currently working on revising the deacon line, so soon trilos will be able to impregnate anything that can be impregnated, which will result in a deacon. Adult deacons will also happen.
Its a good idea to join the mod's discord (link in OP near the bottom) as we have all but moved to there and the newest info and spoilers will be posted there
You need magnets, they'll require some new materials: neodymium and something else I can't remember the name of. Either way, if you managed to install NEI, you can search for the magnets and press 'R' while hovering over it to get the recipe.

how can you change your celtic/predator mask mode?

Hey! Maybe Predaliens could also impregnate things in the mod like in the movie? (Everything except the player is a girl in MC anyways.)
