Crucibles show the resource amount by fill level. Place an altar close by for a numerical display.

@xBeemlord. Besides Dokucraft, I also enjoy Sphax PureBDCraft, now has Animated Nethrrack and has Harken Scythe support

So should I be farming both souls and blood or is there a benefit to concentrating on one over the other.

Unless you wish to attune your helpful items to use one type of resource, its good to gather both. Also later the Augments are quite nice (Mainly Soulsteal or Bloodletting) to ease dual farming with one weapon.

I'll work on the top texture and see how it pans out, else the 2nd texture is my fallback plan. Either way the first texture released will be like the normal Minecraft Armor Icons. The improved textured armors will be released all together with the Tormented Set.

for the spectral dye,I think we can surround a bonemeal with 8 (or 4?)different basic dyes,then put into soul altar,so it can be suitable for its name"spectral"...
biomass armor...maybe I can help search another one on planetminecraft...(those are still not very good looking..

@Firmmax: Please list which Forge build your using and which Harken Scythe Version.

If your talking about the Dokucraft ones, they are free to the public. Just be sure to tell others that go "O, snaps that is Jade Knightblazer's texture work" that its ok.

I am working a template atm on Biomass, it should be sorta neat once done. I'll post an image when its closer to complete.

I was sorta thinking of using Nether Quartz since it has Daylight reacting properties for Spectral stuff.

Its not a problem. Be sure to using.
if ( "item.HSSoulVessel".equals(get the items name)) Statments for easy interfacing between mods, w/o any hard work.

Just let me know what item/block names you need from Harken Scythe.

Meh, the longer I am working on this the more I am starting to think differently about the Biomass... =/ I'll release the next update as a Beta for Biomass. If its not enjoyable (or plainly looks ugly), i'll switch it to a blood hungry metal instead, and Biomass will be some type of plant.

The creep farming will turn into a way to gain other resources, rather then a way to make Blood Armor.


Anyways: Here is the Armor Texture for Biomass currently. The idea is its alive and growing on the player when equipped. Almost like an Infection.

Update! 3/26/13 *On hold do to Link Problems/ hosting*

1.5.1 Harken Scythe V2.0.3 Released: Creep and Biomass Update.

-New Creep Farming system is added. Allowing players to create Creep and Grow Biomass.

-Creep: Crafted from Rotten flesh x 4, Spider Eye x 4, Slimeball x 1. (Slimeball in the middle).
-Place creep on Soulsand to create a Creep Block.
-Creep Blocks can slowly spread to other soulsand in the area!

-Biomass Seed: Crafted from Ferminted Spider Eye x 1 and Netherwart x 1.
-Germinated Biomass Seed: a Biomass Seed must be ready to planted into creep, place the seed into the Blood Altar to Germinate.

-Farming with Creep:
-Use a Glaive to gash open the Creep Block by right clicking.
-Plant the desired Seed into the creep for the plant to take root.
-Use a Bloodkeeper or Blood Vessel to soak the area with blood, this allows plants to grow at x5 speed for one growth stage.
-Once the plant is fully grown harvest like normal for crop, use a Scythe for double crop rewards.
-Creep will absorb any unused blood and will heal over time any gashes made with a Glaive.

-Biomass Equipment and Armor:
-Use Biomass harvested from Biomass plants to craft this Equipment/Armor Set.
-Biomass stats are similar to Iron, however with lower durability.
-Biomass will repair durability each time the player collects Blood with an Keeper/Vessel. The amount repaired is based on the blood type collected.

-Biomass repairs based on Blood color:
-Red Blood: Repairs 2 durability
-Green Blood: Repairs 4 durability
-Purple Blood: Repairs 6 durability

Once again the 2nd post of the OP has been updated with Creep and Biomass Equipment / Armor information.

Warnings of the BIOMASS suit is:
1. Thinking you are venom when you are not
2. Hearing more voices
3. Non refundable
4. Might attract zombies
5. Dry Clean Only
6. Shrink if washed
7. Meat smell

Very nice Iceman, lol. I didn't think about Biomass being a symbiote.... hmm might be a good look for it someday.

Jade,if you have time,maybe you should add the HarkenScythe addon back in asgard shield....

already working on it ^_-, since Livingmetal and Biomass are in Harken Scythe now.
