Maybe have a Blood pod drop, which you can right click in your hotbar, and it'll fill a bloodkeeper?

I'm sure we can think of an alternate use for Bonemeal outside of farming and dying in Harken Scythe. I mean it's powdered bone. Gotta be something black magic related we can use that for.

or straightly right-click with a blood keeper?
bonemeal....maybe mix with blood(put to blood altar),and make a block,put in a golem shape,wait for full moon,then frankenstein....(madness in my mind)

Having to farm endermen to start this mod seems like a real pain considering their rarity

Just find a desert, plains or any relatively flat biome. Stay out all night, and you should get enough pearls to start collecting.

Alternatively if you want to go a safer route, (If you don't mind using other mods) you can grab EE3 and go tree farming, you get about 2 ender pearls for every stack of wood.

True.... I know I want to use bonemeal for spectral dye (and Nether Quartz, may be the new Spectral Glass material). Will think of something...

Could do the straightly right-click... still thinking tho. I will finish Golems using Livingmetal and Biomass soon as I start the Re-Animation System. That will be my Mobs update (I can't wait for it XD, minions should be so cool).

It is I have to agree, however think of the what other uses you use Ender pearls for (Besides enchantment table). If I made it really easy to get Ender pearls, once again your inventory will be full of them sending dust to the End. (Since dust can't settle on those orbs XD).

One route to help players gather Ender Pearls is from Villager Trading. If that is something you would like to see, let me know.

Also speaking of which... Essence Vessels. Do you think its too rare of a chance to acquire? If so.... I could allow villagers to sell these for a hefty Ender Pearl x X cost.

I've never been for forcing a use on something just because it doesn't have many, but I don't want getting Ender Pearls to be easier given that you need to mass them to find a stronghold and activate the end portal which should require a decent amount of work. I also don't even know where you get Essence Vessels from so I can't comment on their rarity or balance.

Been thinking for a bit for the graphics of Biomass... And I believe I am coming to a conclusion that Biomass makes up Netherack.

Let me explain: Due to Minecrafts texture work of Netherack is very close if not spot on what I want Biomass armor / weapons to look like, I am having problems with Biomass textures. (Not looking too closely like netherack).

So the thought process is coming down to this.

Biomass is a plant which its material can form Netherack. Biomass x 9 = Netherack Block. Netherack Blocks can't be broken down back into Biomass (Due to it would be way to easy to gain Biomass, and lets say lore wise the netherack enity can't be broken up into peices after forming all together).

Most likely I need to change the look of the Biomass plant now which is not an issue.

Understood. Essence Vessels rarely drop from Harbinger Mobs.

Would be neat if you added a sleep-related trading mechanism that when you trigger a bed at night during the harvest moon you give up your right to farm that night but can access the "trader". Should have a Selection screen when the screen blackens out during the bed animation cycle that asks if you want to visit Tristram ( would be cool to have a diable reference ). There you can trade a combination of a massive amount of blood/souls/bones/skulls/biomass stuff for spectral and other items related to HS-mod. Can use a world akin to the End, one island town where if you fall you leave the world and wake up. Should also have a chance of having a "nightmare" when leaving Tristram where a reaper appears and starts attacking you.

Honestly, Ender Pearls can be difficult to get, but at the same time, depending on the other mods you are using, can be really easy. Example, if you have EE3 or one of the mods that add other Ender creatures to the mix.I actually like the look of the plant as it is currently. Maybe give us a screenshot of what biomass gear looks like with netherrack next to it to give a good comparison, maybe we can give you ideas to differentiate the two.

Honestly I am debating between to decent textures.

First, this one could be for making an Biomass armor Legend of Legaia style: I would change the texture to red and veins




Second one delivers a full Biomass feel, however as you see its netherack.

The Biomass Armor needs to be covered in eyes. It doesn't look creepy enough haha.

Not necessarily true, at least with EE3, EE2 most definitely. It really depends on the other mods you are using. Remember, EE only can work with the confines of what it provides and what Minecraft provides. As long as you have other mods that introduce other more necessary materials, EE only aids in making certain things less migraine inducing. Example, if you are using FTB Ultimate, which uses the big name tech mods + Gregtech + EE3. Without EE3, Gregtech makes it stupidly hard to get anywhere, particularly on a hardcore world.

@Jade Perhaps take the top armor, add red veins, perhaps where the torso is exposed, add an eye, perhaps in the style of the Eye of Ender which is surrounded by red veins that connects the legpiece to the chestpiece.

Giant Living Entity with lava in it's belly? Ermagerd! Evil Super Dragon!

I would actually love if someone used the new animated textures capabilities in 1.5 to make the nether look alive.

I always thought of the Nether much like Silent Hill or Steve is walking around in an living entity


I'll work on the top texture and see how it pans out, else the 2nd texture is my fallback plan. Either way the first texture released will be like the normal Minecraft Armor Icons. The improved textured armors will be released all together with the Tormented Set.

So the altars don't display the amount of blood/souls for me
