I stated awhile back, that talismans will not take in enchantments. Why you ask?, because the amount of damage it proctects is always random.
The armor calculations is done after Forge's Event.hurt event, meaning I have to had to create my own armor check.
My Armor check and Mojangs armor check are the same.
However, if I create a new Enchantment armor check it will always be off sync with Mojangs enchantment armor check. What would happen because of this? There would be times the talisman would break even if the player didn't take enough damage to die. Also the player would die but the talisman would not active due to the amount of damage calculated was not enough to kill the player.
All in all. Talismans are very helpful, however don't be jumping off very high cliffs with feather fall and expolit the Talisman to res you, cause its not going to happen
Also, as I said I have noticed it breaking from creeper explosion at full health while in un-enchanted diamond armor. I have tested this multiple times, and it happens every time. (Tested it once again while writing this post)
Perhaps (sometime in the future, not before the 1.5 update of course) you could look into adding a new kind of talisman, one that activates once you actually have died, which (if you had enough blood and/or souls on you at the time of death) would let you "resurrect" with your items and XP back. Now right off I can see an issue with what would happen if the someone picked up your dropped items, but it could maybe give you only say 5-10 seconds to activate once you died, and if you don't activate it all your items/XP drop normally.
There could also be a "recall" amulet of sorts that teleports you to your last death location which would work pretty much exactly the same as the overworld/nether/ether amulets, encouraging players to always have one in their chest in case of death (would possibly have to make these one time use and more expensive then the other ones to balance)
Sure Steve is alive and kicking, but all the stuff is on the ground. So talismans are the way they are today. lol
But as for other types and bonus, never know in the future Already the Attuned bonuses are great!!
Yeah, there should be some way to get around the gear going everywhere thing because there are many "death chest" mods which grab the players inventory after they have died. In THEORY at least it should be possible to preserve the inventory or simply "restore" it.

I want to follow this up, I found the issue with why creepers where activating the talismans... The issue is fixed Also.... I managed to make the calculations a bit better with fall damage (Still tho, enchants are not included).
Once I get everything updated and more content added to Harken Scythe (All the goodies), i'll go back into talismans and see what I can do about after death.
Sweet, looking forward to it
Quick question, what does the blight enchant do? I checked both the OP and the update post and couldn't see it under enchantments.
Well I am on the last bit to update, which is the Altars and Crucibles...
Crucibles are all jacked up with this new texture thing T_T, I am not sure how to include custom liquid effects now =/
Soul and Blood looks like water.
Thanks Mojang.... instead of an easy way of making a Crucible... I had to recreate them using custom renders and such.... lol
Good news tho!!!! Because of this I should be about to control how full the crucibles fill upon using a keeper/vessel.
What does this mean? Instead of not know how full it is by looking (Default was 3 levels of fullness), now it should be based on how many souls/blood is in held.
Edit: Finished with the Crucibles, works like a charm and now the liquid inside correctly displays how full it really is
Just finished with Ectoplasm and Hemoglobin slimes, now they produce the correct particle textures when they jump! No more green slime balls.
Also I have added the ability for Souls to be resurrected back into the mobs that were slain. These ones won't be Minons, think of it as an manual Mob Spawner.
A new Item will be created to allow players to bring back the dead creature. As a bonus (if I can program it correctly) using this item on a grieving soul will teleport the slain player back. (Long as they don't release, i'll play around with it and see what happens after I finished 1.5 update).
Later the Necronomicon will be used to reAnimate the fallen into phantom like minions.
Oh I know. You could create a specific block for this function, called a Summoning Altar, which you put in it an item tied to that particular mob (Rotten Flesh for Zombie, Ender Pearl for Enderman, Gunpowder for Creeper, etc) and then both a blood and a soul sacrifice to summon that mob. The summoning point would be another block, called the Summoning Stone, in which acts like a Mob Spawner block, but only spawns a mob if a Altar is activated in the vicinity of the Stone. The Altar doesn't consume the item, but rather uses it to know what mob to summon, it's fueled purely by equal parts blood and souls.
Summoning Altar would look like the other altars/ enchanting tables, but instead of a book, it's a Eye of Ender that always looks in your direction. The table it self would be made like an enchanting table, but with Nether Brick as the main material, Obsidian where Diamonds would be, and the Eye of Ender where the book would be. The Summoning stone would be a block, made also of Obsidian, Nether Brick, and Ender Pearls.
Like this:
O E O
E N E
O E O
I'd suggest the look would be with an ender pearls in the middle of each side, surrounded by netherbrick texture, with an obsidian framework.
Edit: This way Harken Scythe has a unique mob spawn function that doesn't compete with Soul Shards, but rather works in tandem without making either abusive, you could also add Mod Compatibility here for Thaumcraft 3 by also allowing Wisps and Angry Zombies also be summonable (with Wispy Essence and Zombie Brains, respectively), as well as make Harken Scythe mobs summonable, such as you can summon a Harbringer if a Bone Scythe is placed in the slot - I would have your own mobs have a higher soul and blood cost though, to preserve the rarity of the mobs in some fashion.
Edit2: For Zombie Pigmen, I would just use a gold nugget - I thought about it and since both blocks require nether brick, it's not really abusive and easy to farm them since you already had to go into the nether to get the netherbrick and the blaze powder (for the Eye of Ender) anyways.
((tapping the table with my fingers, waiting for 1.5 ver....))
(((dreamed a dream about new content in 1.5ver....)))

Download: ---> 1.5 Harken Scythe V2.0.1 Forge
1.5 HarkenScythe v2.0.1 Released: Updated for Minecraft 1.5
-Crucibles now render the correct amount of soul and blood.
-Souls now remember which mobs they used to be upon death.
-Talismans are creeper proof, they no longer trigger upon every explosion!!
*Woof* That update took a bit @_@, but many new adjustments and tweaks were made in the process. I am sure most will be pleased about the Crucible animation change
Anyways.... Time to go to work on Asgard Shield and get it updated to 1.5 before I start once again on the rest of the goodies for Harken Scythe.
I think Asgard shield's system is ok and done already, only need a 1.5 update..(unless you want to add new stuff in the HS addon....
Chainz...I've got no idea yet....but I still have plenty of time to think new ideas
I'm just a wanderer.....
The changes would include:
-A way to stop player Knockback while having a successful Guard.
-Allow Vanguard to Generate a bit faster.
-Hoping to have a 2 image rendering system, 1st person and 3rd person renders. (Front/back of shield)
-ASAddon Clean up: Debate if players enjoy the addons....
-Re work the Giant Swords a little bit.
And Chainz I just need to add some bug fixs and updated it to 1.5 aswell. Content wise I am more worried about Harken Scythe (Till I get most of all the old items back in and the Reanimation System).
Also did you like my Summoning idea? I hope it will be considering for a later version, I think it's a pretty balanced means of doing it.
i just download the 1.5 HarkenScythe v2.0.1 HELP PLEASE
