Just following up, finished the code changes for no more Shift Click Errors Thanks again for the report!, the change will be included with the next release.
I'll check into it, also the tamable Item will be some what like a staff item.

1.4.5 Harken Scythe v1.0.7 Released: Supports Minecraft 1.4.5, adds more potions and a Bugfix.
New Spectral Potions:
Spectral Flame Bottle: -Right click on a Flame to collect inside your Spectral Bottle-
Combat Usage: Ignites at 3x2x3 Area with fire.
Spectral Potion of Affliction: A bottle filled with Defiled flames by a Soul Altar.
Combat Usage: Affects all targets in an area with one random negative potion effect. Lasts 30secs.
Bug Fix:
-Players are now able to Shift Click stacks into the Soul Altar GUI! Laziness Unite!!
I know the feeling about with ideas ;). I highly suggest opening up a .txt or a paper and pen and type/write them down. (will help with sleeping). Always good to have a place littered with old thoughts and ideas.
As for the ideas you have suggested, you will see sorta the same functions with undergoing content development Sadly many of the ideas I am getting now I am trying to save for another mod XD (Magic system using Wild Arms Elemental grids).
Thanks for sharing some of your ideas SolemnSoul, no promises on 100% carbon copies. However I will play with some of the ideas and see where it goes,
One thing that does stand out is the gauntlet, however since minecraft has not introduced gloves into the game it is very awkward to trying to use them. In most mods that try to add gloves end up looking like the player is running around with a severed hand or is an European duelist XD I do understand the idea behind them (for crafting Lich armor) and respect the abilities they provide. I believe a few new Relics can be made that could provide the same idea flow.
Do to a wonderful Mod named "The Necromancy Mod" All plans for Harken Scythes Summoning Altar has been stopped. Sirolf2009 has done a wonderful job with being able to piece creatures together to form an army
However I do wish to extend a Interfacing between the Necromancy Mod and Harken Scythe.
If Sirolf2009 is up for it, a New recipe will be added to Harken Scythe to craft [Bottled Soul] to create the minions on using the Summoning Altar.
The souls that will be able to crafted into Bottled Souls will be Grieving, Culled, and Wrathful.
1.4.5 Harken Scythe v1.0.8 Released. Harken Scythe and The Necromancy Mod have interfaced together, allowing souls acquired from Harken Scythe to be used with The Necromancy Mod Summoning Altar.
In order to get started, You need a rare soul (Grieving, Culled, or Wrathful) and a glass bottle. With this item in hand, you may access The Necromancy Mod's Summoning Altar.

I am a strong supporter of Mod compatibility. I rather see many mods working together in the community, with Exclusive features, sharing similar items, and most of all promote one another
Also look at it in another light. With Sirolf2009 working on his The Necromancy Mod, this allows me free time to develop/improve my other mods. (Rudy ARMs, ect). So plan to see more content and other mods coming your way
For an example: New update will feature a new Augment for Asgard Shield shields.
Ward: 3 ranks, allows shields a 5/10/15% to generator an extra Vanguard Charge upon a successful Block during guarding.
Just another way to promote mods working together.

I actually passed by that necromancy mod, looked strange to me, but maybe I shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. It's getting a lot of likes. I can't wait to see what my lab will look like between vanilla minecraft stuff, harken scythe, necromancy, runic dust, and thaumcraft 3... going to be insane. >.>

And you are correct about Necromancy looking a bit odd on the cover, however how many horrible abominations look pretty? Necromancy delivers on the evil vibe of sticking a dead (pieces even) monsters together. I am looking forward to if more mob parts will be added (Animal parts, Boss parts, even Frankenstein Steve). There is alot of room for creativity there.
I know for a fact if you can kill it, you can harvest a soul from it with Harken Scythe. The culled souls are just special for the Harvest Moon Event, however maybe in the future I'll add another soul type for Rare mobs aswell (looking at Interal Mobs by Atomic, bosses from Twilight Forest, and of course the wonderful Mo'Creatures mod )
1.4.5 Harken Scythe v1.0.9 Released. Added new Exclusive Asgard Shield Augment "Ward"
Shield Augment Ward:
Ranks (3): 10/20/30% Chance on successful Block during guarding grants an extra Vanguard Charge.
How is this useful? Vanguard Charges (VC) are built up in Asgard Shield by successfully blocking attacks while guarding with a shield. When enough VC is built, players are able to release a Vanguard.
Vanguard: A Shield attack which....
-AoE (Area of Effect) knocks back all targets around the player.
-Applies Enchant effects to targets
-Apples Slow to targets
-Applies Confusion to targets
-Allows 50% of current Guard Gauge amount, to be restored back to the Guard Gauge.
Harken Scythes Ward Augment allows Vanguard to be more accessible (Chance to be more easily activated) and in turn allows the Player to recover their Guard Gauge with the final Vanguard Perk (50% of current gg, blah blah blah).
Please test it out and post what you think
Final Note: This will be the last of the quick releases trend. Later Releases will be like normal (in bulk of goodies). I just thought this was a pretty impressive feature release, and players should be able to test it out for themselves!!

I am thinking about introducing a new feature / crafting for spectral glass and its reverse counter part.The idea as follows:

-Smelt Soulsand to create Spectral Glass (like normal).
-Use Spectral Potion of Affliction (Defiled Flame) with Spectral Glass to create the Reverse Spectral Glass (name is pending, Solid during day, illusion at night).
-Use Spectral Potion of Affliction Purifying (Holy Water) with Reverse Spectral Glass to create Spectral Glass.
This would allow Spectral Class to flip-flop depending on what the user wants... However That means you can only craft 4 Reverse Spectral Glass at a time per full Defiled Flame/ Spectral Glass per full Holy Water... Might be a pain in the butt
*This would mean Spectral Potion of Affliction would receive an upgrade. It would gain ranks just like Spectral Potion of Purifying, applying more negative potion effects based on Rank -Or- Longer durations*
However with the added challenge/(maybe slight annoyance), would open up other creative possibilities. Such as, Asgard Shield's ASAddon Harken Scythe, would receive two new shields based on Spectral Glass.
One Shield would function only at night and able to use Defiled Flame to turn the shield into its counter part.
Other Shield would function only during the day and able to use Holy Water to turn the shield into its counter part awsell.
This is just one example of a new usage.

Edit: Going with the potions route. Most players use creative mod anyways for bulk materials. Using potions just opens up so much more future possibles XD
