Uh didn't slayer any myself have this exact conversation where I mentioned spawning a bed on the other side of the portal? I guess no one else noticed it. . .

Oh I noticed it, but as he stated himself below that that he "hoped" it would work.
I sensed that I should have a backup plan for fixing it if it doesn't go as he hopes

There's also the possibility of saving the portal coords to player NBT and teleporting the player there on respawn.
The arcana portal bug, in which you have to be careful to place the correct block last will be fixed.
1.4.X:
It is extremely important how to place portal blocks, so take notice: First, face westwards (check in F3). Then, step INTO the place where your portal will be. Ater that, place all of the portal blocks except the rightmost in the WEST side.
In 1.6.X the placement order does not matter, as long as you place the frames in the correct pattern it should create the portal nicely.

OK if this mod is not updated by the 15th of September I a going to give up all hope because it shouldn't take 4 months to update a mod because you guys were making unnecessary changes...

It hasn't taken 4 months because of "unnecessary changes".
The development team has been re-made and started over again since that 4 month period you mention.
Currently I'm shifting through the items trying to implement each one into the mod again, one at a time..
I hardly see adding the items for the mod as an unnecessary change...
And for the record this mod will NOT possibly be updated by the 15th of September.
There's still a lot of items which has to be coded. There's some maybe 50 files to merge and extract super classes from.
And then there's the issue of 103 blocks not having any textures at all at the current time.
But if those things are "unnecessary changes" then sure, I can give you the current working version of the mod as it is
I've got a question - can you release beta or alpha version now? Cuz we don't want to wait anymore! You pass one MC version, will you pass another?
Interesting question, I have mumbled earlier about releasing a snapshot version but I dunno if it's such a good idea.
At least not until things are playable.

If they do get laser beams they would need to be nerfed, but I would so want super frikin cyborg sharks with laser beams though.

ETAs are almost always wrong, it's near impossible to tell how close you are until you are done.
